I don't usually leave reviews, but I believe sharing my positive experience will help others find the right salon and stylist. As an Asian with very dark hair, it's often challenging for me to dye my hair, but Patrick was able to achieve the color I wanted. I'm thrilled with the haircut and the new hair color. I had Melissa as my stylist. I had never dyed my hair before so I showed her a picture and whenever she would discuss the hair or ask a question I would say whatever you do just make it look like the picture- I don't know any technical terms- so please just this. I told Melissa I was not happy with my hair and she said it was exactly what I had asked for but if I wanted to I could come back and pay for another session. They were very adamant they do not give refunds. Finally Melissa said she would fix it but was still forceful that she had done what the picture had showed so I obviously didn't trust her to "fix it". read more

So, I wanted something different for my hair since I've had the same color/style for the past 30+ years. I asked around to see where I should go. Most of my friends referred me to Skye Salon and ask for Sherly. I looked on yelp but there wasn't any reviews so I was a bit hesitant but decided to go anyway. I called an made and appointment for 10:30am and I was about 10mins late. She said, it was okay. As I walked it, the place looked very clean and fresh. It didn't have that hair salon smell. They also do nails there as well. Sherly the stylist knew I was coming and she met me at the door. The other stylist also said hello to me. Everyone seemed very friendly. So she sat me down, asked what I wanted or if I had pictures she can look at. Of course I did, I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted. With me not knowing anything about colors, she said the pictures I had were different colors. I told her just to dye the color that would best fit me before the pictures I gave her. So she began with the colors. She did warn me that I will be here for about 3hours. Wow I said because I have never sat at a salon for that long. She kept asking me if I was okay. That was nice of her to check on me. She kept a conversation with me the whole time so I won't be to bored. She was very gentle as well. Finally 3 hours later, a very satisfied client. I loved the color she did on me. She covered all my grey as well. I would definitely recommend Sherly at Skye Salon if anyone is looking to get a hair cut or hair colored. Amazing salon experience! This place only has a few reviews but it is definitely popular with the locals. The salon is inviting and clean. I went in for a haircut and balayage and it cost me about $260 (not including tip). Melissa Manning was my stylist and she did an amazing job. She did her due diligence asking me what I specifically wanted and did a patch test on my hair. It was my first balayage experience and I am so pleased with the outcome. I moved to the southeast Texas area about 2 years ago. I wasn't sure of a good place to get my hair done and was in dire need of a cut and color. Some of the other women I'd spoken to hadn't really offered any desirable options. Fortunately, Google came through for this newly adopted small town. I made an immediate appointment with Thu and have continued going ever since. She is a great stylist. She's young and has a great understanding of the here and now, and the more simple, traditional styles as well. She always delivers what I'm looking for, no matter how indecisive I might be. The salon is very cute and welcoming. I always enjoy my couple of hours of mommy time when I go get my hair done. I would defiantly recommend Skye Salon. read more

I am new to area and wanted to get a cut, I went in here based on the Yelp reviews and was not disappointed! I did not need and apt, I walked in and out of the salon in about 45mins and i got a shampoo, cut and a blow dry. Moved to Beaumont a year ago and have had a couple different salon experiences so far so I just want to share my story. This salon has some good reviews so I gave it a shot since I just needed a trim. (Not too difficult) I walked in and the main girl who is blonde and all over their Instagram was the only person working and told me to come back the next day. We set an appointment and when I returned she passed me off to another woman because she was with another client. I asked for a trim and for her to take off whatever she felt needed to be cut. She responded kind of strange and asked "you just want me to cut the ends?" Like yes?.. that's what a trim is? And she was like "oh ok that's easy!" And proceeded to run her scissors straight across the bottom and say she was done. I started to get the feeling she didn't normally cut hair lol cause the blonde came and checked on her as well. Any other time I get trims the stylist usually picks up the hair and cuts it all around and pulls it forward to check for evenness. She didn't even try to follow the shape I had and I was stuck with a straight cut. Then she starts saying she didn't know how much to charge for something like that then tells me it'll be $15. I say ok and the blonde comes over and ends up telling her to charge me $30... for a 5 second cut. She also said to me that for something that quick she could have done it herself after all and that she even could have cut it the day before when she turned me away if she had known. Like what??? I told her I just needed a trim so either she didn't listen or was just being lazy and turning people away but either way don't tell me all about it. Either way the lady who did the cut was very sweet but obviously inexperienced and there are better salon options out there. Not so many in Beaumont but maybe at least 1 from what I've found. I've gotten an actual wash cut and style that came out way better for the same price elsewhere since this has happened. read more
