I was a loyal patron when dr riccardelli and dr Arnold owned hospital fir over 35 years. I decided…read moreto stay with them and ge loyal once it was sold to this corporation. My dog Micky was 12 and acting strange. Cowering etc. I wasn't allowed in due to covid and kept telling them yo check his eyes. I was told just cataracts affecting his site. Finally after a few months I Saud I wsnt to come in and see the dr. This was during covid and drs were now letting people in. I was told by office manager no because some of workers are not vaccinated. I said I'm fully vexed so coming in, not my ptob. Anyway Doctor e n dy Said he had a scratch on his eye.later. I found out the scratch was there for 5 years from the optimologist. I found a few days later. I went and again and saw a doctor despiro. She thought up was Lyme related and gave ne antibiotics. Finally got an Appointment with Dr Edelman opthmologist in Tinton falls. My dog has gone blind in the eye and the reason for him not being himself was that his eye pressure was 80 where is should have been under 16. He was suffering from horrible migraine headaches all this time and THEY NEVER CHECKED HIS PRESSURE. TOTTALLY IN COMPETENT. it's taken me a couple of years to write this but needs to be told. After that I was offered free every other day eye pressure tests but bever wanted to see that place again. If you ate not going for routine vax and you livecand know your dog, DONT USE THEM. All of this can be verified. My dog was micky newton and no thanks to them he lived another 2 years with much better drs.I lost him in July. This needs yo he said. Linda newton

PET PARENT BEWARE!! I have been taking my cats (2) for wellness exams and vaccines to Dr K for…read moreabout 14 years. Never had an issue until I brought my one cat to be treated for an ear infection. Dr. K prescribed an ear cleaning solution and antibiotic ointment to put in the ear. After weeks of following the Drs instructions, my cat's ear started bleeding. I called the vet to tell them this and asked if I could bring him in. They refused to take him and told me to email pictures, after which they told me to continue with the antibiotic ointment. The bleeding did appear to clear up a little, but then I started to see my cats third eyelid. I questioned the vet, which he said this was not related to the inner ear infection and was a symptom of his feline herpes virus flare, and I should continue administering antibiotic ointment in the ear. My cat was treated for feline herpes virus before I got him. He would have occasional flares when stressed, but I never saw his third eyelid come down during one of his flares, so this seemed odd to me. But I trusted Dr. K for 14 years, so I followed his instructions. A few weeks later, my cat started experiencing neurological symptoms - head tilt, walking off balance/stumbling, tremors. Brought him back to the vet, turns out his ear infection had turned into a severe inner ear infection, ruptured his ear drum, and potentially spread to his brain. Dr. K prescribed oral antibiotics, and told us to "check in with him in a few days". I decided to take my cat to a different vet for a second opinion. The new vet said it was the worst ear infection she had ever seen, and was baffled that Dr K 1) did not initially take ear cultures to determine what bacteria was present in the ear and 2) did not prescribe oral antibiotics for that particular bacteria. She also stated that antibiotic ointment in the ear is a rather "antiquated" form of treatment, and usually ends up making things worse. Long story short, the new vet did everything she could to fight this ear infection for a little over a month, but unfortunately nothing was working. Due to the severe infection, his herpes virus began the severely flare and his symptoms started taking over and shutting down his body. My poor little guy was experiencing so much pain and suffering that we ended up putting him down in the beginning of April. This was something that could've been totally avoidable if Dr K had recommended a different form of treatment. I trusted Dr K & Pequannock Animal Hospital for 14 years, but after this experience, I will be finding a new vet to take my other cat to. I hope this reaches as many pet parents as possible and hopefully will prevent anyone else from experiencing the pain and suffering both my fur baby and myself experienced

Where my dog was put in a horrible position and left with ptsd. I told everyone there about this before hand. He is 12 years old and there can be no muzzles or he will show his teeth! He has never bitten anyone. The way the vet, child like looking adult and vet tech walked in the room was unacceptable. I will thank the vet tech who was willing to even show kindness to my dog. Thank god for that person. Or else I would have freaked out. The vet walked in with his cardigan wrapped around his arms and close to side! I said if you are afraid of him. We will leave. They should have let us do that. Instead he pretended he was not afraid. Used my hand that I just had surgery on as a shield to block my dogs face. My dog was trying to hide under the chairs. I said no muzzle and you bring in two! Right away hes scared. What is wrong with you people. The vet said im worried about the safety of my workers. If that's the case you should have let us leave and not pretend to look at him. Just so you can take my money! If my dog wanted to bite you. He would have and you wrapping your arms would have not helped. Be so for real. If they approached the whole situation differently. I would have reacted differently and maybe my 12 year old dog could have gotten some help! You had pre biased opinion from a report you read on the computer from over almost a decade ago. I would never go there again. He offered to give me medication to sedate my dog then bring him. I did not. Even sedated, hes a elderly dog. The transport alone is hard on him. Please please do not bring your animals here. Find anyone else but these horrible people who just want your money. Minus that one kind person. I drove home crying because I just want my dog to stay alive as long as possible. He was treated like he killed someone. When he reality he is the kindest. Most loving animal. I have two boys that I raised around him. He has never been aggressive. I wish these people would have done the right thing and tell me they are afraid. Sorry. Maybe recommend somewhere else. I mean I just can not believe this vet and the bs that came from his mouth. If your pet vibes off you. This guy piss you off and make your animal upset. He is just horrible. Thats all.
