When I reacted to their bullying antics, that is when the gaslighting began. Dr. Lichtenburg is the owner and she is the leader to her minion staff. She allows her "top notch" front office girl, Candy, to get in patients faces with pre-mediated designs on possibly physically harming the patients, she instigates and promotes bullying and Dr Lichtenburg allows grossly over exaggerated situations to occur. I felt threatened in this office. I felt disregarded and there was ZERO accountability from this office or office manager for how their staff mistreats patients. Right, wrong, or indifferent, there has been reasons as to why I've had difficulties with this horrible practice and it all boils down to how staff are lead and their is ZERO positive moral and very poor leadership. The owner should feel ashamed for her behavior. The last time I spoke with the doctor, she called me acting concerned about what had happened the previous day, and then cut me off mid sentence and began bullying me herself. When I hung up on her, she kept calling me back. I finally had to tell her to stop calling because it was beginning to be harassment. I hate to say it but I think my unfair treatment was due to me being Hispanic. Sad but true.

I had ordered a new pair that the lenses weren't quite right on my distance bifocal. Within 6 days, I had the new pair exchanged. WOW. I'm 66, and I think it's the best eyesight I've had in at least 13 years!! I'll be back next year for a 2nd pair, too! To be able to see as I drive, and yet have the ability to read print in the same eyeglass pair has been a true gift for me! I went to Costco and could see the aisles and read expiration dates on the jars for once! I first came to definitive vision after pain in my eye led me to seek optometry care that was near my work. They were able to get me in right away in an emergency appointmen. When I met with Dr. Heiss, she was quick to tell me what was wrong with my eye and offered solutions to help. She gave me some eye wipes to trial which worked wonderfully. I then came back for my annual eye exam at a different location and everyone was helpful. I like that it's a smaller place, but it's certainly more expensive than anywhere I've been in the past, so that's kind of a bummer. I love the eyeglass selection, they're very stylish and unique. This year, I decided to take my favorite frames and put updated lenses in them, I love that that's an option. I'd recommend coming here, because it feels like a posh boutique and everyone is helpful and friendly, but the cost might be a bit prohibitive for people. Or maybe that's just my eye insurance!

There's just one optometrist here: Dr. Dozon. I've found Dr. Dozon to be extraordinarily good at listening, good at explaining what I don't understand, and competent and thorough in his exams. He's always contributing his services to the community, so by supporting his business, I feel like I'm also supporting a good cause. Despite the relatively small size, the office stays up-to-date with equipment and best practices. The vibe here is far different from most optometrists. The office is comfortable, unhurried, and personal. I always get the sense of being served, not "processed." The office has soft lighting and soft, comfortable furniture. The biggest downside is when selecting frames. The selection of frames is pretty good, but they are generally reluctant to special order if what you want isn't in stock. To achieve the best vision, it is vitally important that frames fit perfectly; unfortunately, the staff always encourage me to look at style first, and they're often unable to answer specific questions about sizing and fitting. To be honest, you shouldn't shop for glasses here unless you already know your bridge width, temple length, and lens width. If you do visit, be sure to ask for directions the first time. You have to go around back of the building then up to the second floor.

I trusted that they had talked to Dr. Klute, and I thought it was strange that they put me through the whole testing process that I have every year with Dr. Klute. After receiving a bill from Omaha Eye and Laser I was told they don't take eye insurance and they run everything through medical insurance. So, $700 later I'm stuck with this bill because of Dr. Klute's methods of taking care of his patients. I felt he passed me on to others because he didn't have time for me.
