I believe that South Brisbane used to be the interstate train station before they built the rail…read morebridge across the river. Then again, the only other state that can be reached by rail happens to be New South Wales, which is to the south. You could get to South Australia, but there isn't a railway that is able to take you there. Anyway, the station itself is actually quite nice, though I did find the elevators to be pretty slow. Also, trains don't come as often as I'd like them to.

I love how convenient this train station is. It's across the road from GOMA, SLQ, the Museum, the…read moreLyric Theatre, Southbank Parklands and Grey St and is a short stroll to West End. Weirdly I used to forget this and get off at Central, however I've finally learned and now use this as an access point to one of my favourite areas of the inner city. I also like how it's one of the only original buildings in the area. Thankfully the renovation has been pretty thoughtful so most of the old school ambiance is still evident.
