The irony, flying 5,000+ miles from Los Angeles to London to eat NY style pizza in Notting Hill.
We started with a number of salads and appetizers. The fried mozzerella was perfect, with oozy cheese and a nice marinara sauce. We ordered two small salads, both the cesar and the chopped. Get the larger salads, the smaller sizes are too wimpy and everyone needs more greens in their life. My family enjoyed the cesar more, but I did like the variety of vegetables in the chopped salad.
The pizzas were also excellent, with a thin yet sturdy crust. The Spicy Pepperoni
happens to have all my favorite toppings: pepperoni, jalapeños and red onion, with Parm shavings and creamy Puglian stracciatella. The 226, a House special pie, was really porky and delicious with Italian ham and fennel sausage, crispy guanciale, and fresh basil.
This is a great spot for a casual dinner with excellent pizza and accompaniments. read more
