I had a sleep study ordered in October and I was told someone would call me which they did in March. And that was after I left multiple messages asking to schedule. A new medication prescribed on March 25th that required prior was not done until a month later and that wasn't due to Anthem BCBS or my pharmacy not advising Dent of this but because the nurse forgot. If I hadn't asked the nurse about another medication for my migraines the auth would never have been done. When I called to schedule my MRI the first available was 5 weeks out. Due to my claustrophobia I always have sedation which has been done by the nurses at Dent. When I scheduled the imaging I was told to arrive 1/2 an hour early for the sedation. Imagine my surprise when I get there to be told the sedation was actually sent to my pharmacy something the woman scheduling nor the nurse at dent told me was being done. The receptionist was unable to reschedule it because "dent doesn't train front desk on scheduling just check in and to call back to reschedule". After all of this I called early this morning and left a message for Kristen one of the managers. Instead of calling me back she had Mary Grace do it because as Mary Grace said Kristen was too busy to talk to me. I understand now I am just a paycheck for the staff at dent. With a high deductible plan I get text messages and a phone call prior to any visit about the cost for "care" and to make sure I have money in hand. I know I'm just a number to Dent but I would have hoped that they see patients as actual people and not just as dollar signs

My daughter did very well and it was all thanks to the great sleep technician we had and his skills. He was able to put all her wires on with nothing but smiles from my daughter. Then in the night she kept fogging up the line which made it unreadable, the tech was able to change the line 2x while she was sleeping without waking her! He was nothing but nice and informative. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you have a child who needs a sleep study done. I was blown away by what a great experience we had.

I needed a sleep specialist. The fastest one I could see was at Dr. Daniel Rifkins office. So I made an appointment with a PA at the offices of Dr.Daniel Rifkin. The name of Dr Rifkins PA I was seeing is Marc Schlegal. This office and Marc Schlegal is extremely unorganized greatly inefficient. I am disabled, making this even harder, when this process was nothing more than routine. I was told i have sleep apnea. My first appt was with Marc Schlegal. He threatened me with legal paperwork I needed done for a condition I do not have. They diagnosed me with sleep apnea. The minimum breathing challenges per hour starts at 5. Mine is a 5.3 on a scale going well over 100. Giving I'm disabled, and my disability can be and was greatly affected negatively by a cpap machine causing me 7 surgery's so far and more to come. After I started complaining about the affect it was having, they abandoned me as a patient. I called their office 4 times (and have a perfect record of doing so) and never a call back. The nurse talked to me like she was sick of hearing me call. I now have emailed people with the same complaint finding they had a similar experience. I currently have a new sleep specialist who gave my sleep a clean bill of health and strongly advised I do not use a cpap machine, for it will only cause damage. I am in the process of opening a case with the Medical Review Board for my treatment by Marc Schlegal and Dr Rifkin. I am accepting any emails of people who have had or are having this problem at Dr Rifkins office or with his assistant Marc Schlegal. After all was said and done , i was given a clean bill of sleep health and sleep medicine was never needed. NYS Drs also gave me a clean bill of sleep health and gave all my licensing back that never should have been on probation to begin with. He caused nothing but pain and suffering both physically and mentally and has a serious ethics violation on hand now.

The did a prescreening and then said they would put in a request to my insurance and get back to me. They did state it could take up to a few weeks for the verification. Now, in May, because I'm a busy single mother and admittingly forgot. I called them back to schedule and they tell me the insurance verification never came back and they have to do it again. And the young lady on the phone, Ashley, had no compassion about the situation whatsoever. I will now be getting my daughter's sleep study done elsewhere.

They first time I walked in there was no one to greet me. The location was dark so I was unsure if they were even open. The bed was uncomfortable and staff did not seem to care about what I had to say. The room was hot and I was not able to get comfortable. They told me I needed to sleep so the test could begin. I almost felt uncomfortable falling asleep as I was not sure how well i would be taken care of. All in all I would suggest using an actual Sleep Medicine Facility such as Unity or Sleep Insights. These places are meant for more than just sleeping and most certainly care more about their patients.
