THEY ARE HORRIFYING AND THE COMPLIANCE OFFICER TARA IS A COMPLETE EGOTISTICAL CONDESCENDING *THROW YOU UNDER THE BUS* TYPE OF INDIVIDUAL. ALL SHE WANTED WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY BILL WAS TO MAKE SURE SHE COULD THROW ME UNDER THE BUS.... I'LL EXPLAIN.
BOTH THESE CONVERSATIONS WERE RECORDED FOR MY OWN SAFETY - SO PLEASE BELIEVE
So, a while back I owed a bill for $80, mind you I never got this bill from Dent specifically or personally alas mailed to me. So here 6 (six) months go by and when I try to make another appointment with them, the phone operator for Dent asked me to hold on, pull up my information, and than suddenly upon speaking with me again, goes into a shady monotone voice and tells me my account is blocked and that I should call this 1-800 number (which was their company's debt collection agency after Dent's own internal bill agency could not accept a bill. I ASKED THREE (3) TIMES to the bill collector, may I please make payments to pay this off in increments. Three (3) times! All the bill collector *did* was continuously keep asking me if I can pay in full and will that be with a credit card today...completely robotic, like I didn't even exist and ignorantly.
SO, I was upset and posted on social media my complaint which read in euphemistic terms: "Hey Dent, Not everybody is a millionaire or has tiny co-payments or free healthcare. You can take that $80 and stick it up keester with your privately funded corporation." I also had a middle finger emoji pointing at them. So a few hours later, assumably whoever watchdogs the Facebook site gave a quick and simple response to call the compliance officer and see if they can work with me. That sounds great right??
So before I call, I message them on the Facebook site to apologize and state what my needs are to pay back this bill. (The site states somebody will reply within 24 hours) So sure enough, 3 days (that is 60 hours goes by and than another bunch of days due to the holidays. So lets say a week ok - like a hundred hours. OK - so nobody returned my text messages from Facebook. So I call, and I SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR THE COMPLIANCE OFFICE because that is who I was told on Facebook to call. Well guess what, they just send me to the Billing Department. I specifically and cordially *ask* to be on the same page, "Is the Billing Department the same as the Compliance Department" Right away, the DENT OPERATOR (these are the workers for Dent now, not the robot people from the 1-800 number), the DENT OPERATOR for billing asks me not even 2 seconds in, mind you I asked if they are the same as each other {Compliance and Billing) The DENT OPERATOR for billings replies "This is billing. If you have a bill, why would you need to talk to compliance?" I had to pull eyeteeth figuratively speaking just to get to the Compliance Operators' phone voicemail. MIND YOU, I asked several times to speak with the Compliance Office, and the DENT OPERATOR for billing continued to ignore my question, and keep pressuring me on what my bill is, and was AVOIDING my question. But you know, apparently that is good customer service right??
So I fiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally get to leave my voicemail ok? Sure enough, even though they NEVER texted me back on Facebook, TARA THE COMPLIANCE OFFICER called me back a few hours later. Perfect timing, because I really wanted to square things up before lunch.
THE CONVERSATION:
As with all professional customer service representatives - as true of this TARA THE COMPLIANCE OFFICER, she stated who she was and annotated she wanted to help me. Ok, help is good right? So taking the advice from Facebook regardless, I myself called TARA THE COMPLIANCE OFFICER to help me with my billing issue. Now here is where {And Be On Your Guard People, this is the conversation of legends and manipulators if you let them cut you down} things go south.
TARA THE COMPLIANCE OFFICER first explained as with all billing collections, they usually want their money in full. fine. As she continued to explain everything about billing, she KEPT asking if I ever got the bill mailed (no mam) and repeatedly kept going back to the question if was *their* billing or *collections off-site* billing. I stated I thought it to be theirs, but after mentioning it was a 1-800 number, she briefly explained that it *was* indeed, not *their billing* but the *off-site biling* WHICH after several times going back to the issue, she finally got her answer to know if it was off-site billing BECAUSE she wanted to make SURE that it was not in any way *her fault*
So glad I cleared that up, right? So after she gets that answer, now her company DENT NEUROLOGICAL INSTITUTE is not at fault technically for my bill she figures, she begins to Brow Beat, Chastise, and completely Berate me on my Facebook Post and how being professional (yet a professional cutting down a guy with disabilities that is *so* much better right?)
