The mattress that was purchased and promised, turned out not to be in stock. They're not sure when it will be in stock. We've been trying to get our $1,300.00 refunded since December 17, 2001 and are still waiting. We've gone into the store, but were told that a refund could only be issued from head office. Head office, advised the store could have issued it, but they would take care of it. We've called 6 times over the last weeks trying to get confirmation a cheque had been issued, and despite being repeatedly promised one would be issued, we're still waiting. We bought the Pro-Adapt Mattress Firm, which the company promises has unique technology that evenly distributes temperature throughout and helps to keep cool, and has superior support for a good night's sleep. This mattress costs between $4000 to $6000 with taxes. After using the mattress for six months, the bed broke in and became so soft, and no longer has the support nor distributes the heat, so the heat stays with you and is very uncomfortable. When we contacted the company which promises a 10yrs warranty, they said the mattress would have to have a visible indentation before they consider doing anything about it. If you are considering buying any of these specialty mattresses, we highly recommend you don't. Go somewhere where you can get value for your money, and if you're not satisfied, you can get another one that will not be excessively costly. read more

Purchased a bed Aug 9, when it was delivered ten days later, it was stained. Got a replacement one delivered two weeks later and this one was dirty. After they stressed so clearly that you cannot return a bed if it has anything wrong with it, and they really push buying a cover, I get two beds that aren't acceptable. I called and complained, the girl offered us a $250 GC, when I only received $150 I called and am still waiting for someone to call me back, (that was ten days ago ). Was told my new bed (# 3 now) would be delivered to our nearby store so we could inspect it first, and guess what?? Wrong! After multiple phone calls, we had to drive across town to pick it up. I then contacted the company and asked for the Regional Manager to contact me back and I haven't heard a word. Going on three days now. I was told someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. Do not buy from this company. There are so many others to choose from. Buyer Beware!! Have to give one star to be able to send this , but zero stars from me. read more

I purchased a mattress, box spring, bed frame from Sleep Country in St. Vital. I called customer service in April 2019 and advised one side of the mattress is very uncomfortable. It looks like the top is not fastened to the padding underneath. the man I spoke to said he would send me forms to complete but not to send pictures of the mattress.He called it the pillow top shift. When I filled out the forms I had to take pictures or it wouldn't let me send the complaint. I got a response that they could not see any problem. I called again in September 2019 and explained to the lady and she said that Montague Mattress would call and set up an appointment. When the representative came he took measurements. I advised that I have not been sleeping on the defective place, I put a pillow over it and sleep in the middle of the bed. Because I did this the mattress did not look defective. I received a call and spoke to a customer service rep September 30th and she said there is no defect therefore not covered. I said I would have to purchase a mattress topper as I can't sleep on the bed and she said they had some. I told her I would not purchase from Sleep Country. terrible experience with this store. We purchased a mattress and they said there is 100 day exchange that's HASSLE FREE. Well we went to exchange, the man tried to sway us to continue sleeping on the bed and jump on it to soften it and walk around on our knees on it.... I had to basically yell at the guy that it's kike we're sleeping on plywood. Finally he let us look at another mattress. Once we exchanged the mattress they mentioned that it will cost us $52 which they never mentioned before. We also purchased a platform because the $1400 mattress ended up not even coming with a box spring. We get the platform and it's defective, the middle of the platform bows and we can't sleep on it. We talked to the store and they said it's final sale (which they failed to mention when we bought it) and that we have to call sleep country 1-800 customer service line. Which was also a joke, they asked for emails with pictures so we sent that. Still no response. We called today and they said they'll email the "management team" and get back to us. Needless to say, this experience has been a nightmare. We now have this platform in our living room for 4 weeks waiting for a response. We just want a product that isn't defective and it should NOT have taken this long. Ridiculous joke Of a company. Not to mention, do NOT buy from the sales lady named Rae. She has no idea what she's talking about and doesn't disclose things to you that she should. Like certain items are final sale and that NO ONE in the store knows how to set up accounts. It literally took 4 people the first time we were there then 6 people the second. DO NOT GET THE DESJARDINS credit card. The whole thing is a joke. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS OVERPRICED JOKE OF A STORE EVER AGAIN and will continue to tell people and warn any and everyone of this pathetic excuse for a store. read more
