I purchased a sleeper style sectional last year from the Brick on Regent and purchased the protection plan they offer with it. I made a warrant claim, as the couch was defective and falling apart. Despite them advertising that they would cover 100% of the cost when purchased, they only provided me with 70% of cost. I wasn't thrilled but it wasn't the end of the world. I then decided to purchase a love-seat recliner from a salesperson named Chris. Everything seemed pretty straightforward with the purchase at the time. I got a call a couple of weeks after purchase confirming that delivery would be on a specific date. Due to my work schedule, I had to book off the entire day in order to be home. I get a call after the purchase asking if I'd like to buy warranty on the couch, and I agree. I go back in to the store and meet with Chris, who helps me with the purchase of the warranty. Right as I purchase the warranty, he says he might have made a mistake on the delivery. I clarify what that means, and he says to not worry about it as he will fix it, and it's just a technical problem. I confirm with him that I should still expect delivery on the agreed upon date and he says yes. Fast forward to the day before the expected delivery, I receive a call from the Brick, asking what day I'd like to have delivery on. I told them that it was already confirmed for tomorrow, but they tell me that Chris cancelled the delivery date when I came in to purchase the warranty. I asked to speak with Chris who just continued to dodge my questions and told me I have to book a new date. I asked to speak with the manager, Steve, who was also unprofessional and just kept telling me that Chris told me previously that he changed the delivery date (which was incorrect). When I told him how frustrating it was that I took a day off work for nothing, he told me that I got the couch on sale so I should just be happy with what I'm getting. Not only was it beyond frustrating to have my delivery date moved for no reason, and not being told about it until the day before, I was also extremely disappointed with how Chris and Steve dealt with it. I've shopped at the Brick on Kenaston and bought about four different types of furniture from them. Every purchase from the Brick on Kenaston was seamless, and the staff were super easy to deal with, however this is my first interaction with the Brick on Regent, and I am beyond frustrated. I will never come back here again, and will continue to never recommend anyone to shop here. read more

I had a deeply frustrating experience with The Brick and their so-called 5-Year Furniture Protection Plan. I purchased a loveseat and 3-seater recliner on July 18, 2020, along with the extended warranty. In March 2025, my loveseat started sagging -- one side visibly lower and touching the floor. I reported it right away, submitted photos, and a technician confirmed the defect. The loveseat was picked up for repair in May and returned at the end of the month. Within two weeks, the exact same problem returned. When I reported it, instead of honoring their warranty, I was accused of "misusing" the loveseat by sitting on the armrests (which is absurd, given the space around the sofa doesn't even allow that). Their customer experience team has been dismissive and contradictory. The store told me the repair was done as a "courtesy" outside of warranty. The head office told me "no repairs exist outside warranty." Which one is true? If repairs can't be outside warranty, then my claim was covered -- yet they still denied me! When I asked for a clear explanation of why my warranty didn't apply, they dodged my questions, refused to provide specifics, and closed my case with a one-line email. They ignored the fact that: The warranty covers construction defects, faulty joints, moving parts, and electronics -- all of which applied to my loveseat. The repair failed within 2 weeks, proving the defect wasn't resolved. I spent money on their warranty in good faith, expecting protection. Instead, I was given excuses, false accusations, and no real service. Their warranty is worthless, and their customer experience team is nothing more than a rubber stamp for denial. The Brick failed me, and they will fail you too. read more

So I spotted an item in the tent sale flyer that I wanted, I called the Regent store to see if it was still available, I ended up talking to a great guy whose name was Damien, he informed me this item was sold out and it was a limited time offer, he could tell I was disappointed, he said he would call me back, as it turned out I had told him the wrong brand name, he came back with the right info, and told me he could bring one in from Calgary, I said sold, I had trouble paying on line and he stayed on the phone with me and walked me thru that as well, he could of very easily said sorry item sold out and moved on, he doesn't know or owe me anything, but he stayed with me all the way, this is not my first purchase at this store, I was treated well last time, attentive service is hard to find these days, twice now I got it at the Regent store. one last thing, this was not a huge purchase but I still got service like it was, TY Brick, you will see me again. read more

Our customer experience was positive as furniture buyers. We purchased a power recliner sofa and a matching sofa and the sales representative, Alisha was very friendly, helpful and advocated for us to receive a great deal as she spoke with her manager. As for delivery, it was exceptional! We purchased late evening Thursday and delivery scheduled the Saturday morning. The two men, Tony & Ian were very efficient & professional in delivering the sofa's up to our third floor suite Tony & Ian displayed positive attitudes,respectful and courteous manners. They encouraged mama to read her care instructions carefully! The Brick definitely strives to deliver excellence in customer satisfaction. Very Poor Customer Service. Poor quality of the couches and way too expensive for the quality you get, We bought the furniture last year (dining set and couch) cancelled Dining set before it was delivered because they didn't have it in stock for so long, they still charged us for the everything and still hasn't refunded us. I've been in touch with so many associates, went to store 5 times already but they still hasn't got back to us. all they say is they will speak to Accounting team and will get back to me. please guys don't trust these guys make sure you check your statements and accounts. We put too much faith in The Brick...Be aware. We recently purchased a very LARGE amount of appliances for our newly built home. The unfortunate journey started back in July of 2018, when we put a down payment on our appliances. We were told they would not be ordered until the items were paid in full. We were told by the salesman in the Commercial sale department, that we would be smart to email beginning of December to set up a time to come in and do that, so that there would be plenty of time for the appliances to arrive in the warehouse, before the house was completed. We contacted them in December 2018 and were told, 'Contact again beginning of the New Year, and we will set something up. Taking the word of someone that subsequently orders these types of appliances EVERYDAY, we waited until the New year to go in. The appointment was finally set for January 14th, 2019! Possession was Feb 22.. But rest assured, the Salesman told us it was PLENTY of time for the items to come in. They are dated to arrive on February 16, and from there, delivery would be set up. All was well planned in our minds..........or was it. As we approached the date on February 3, I contacted the salesman to get an update, when I was told that some of our items had not arrived yet.. Being the optimist that I am, I was sure the rest would be in the warehouse in time for moving day. The salesman stated that he would continue to check in with us to update us on the arrival of the items. Again the moving date approached and slowly items continued to show up. Until we got word, that one of the crucial items had not yet been shipped to the warehouse. We were given the date of March 6, 2019 now, and were a little bit upset but understood that delays can sometimes happen. This item was on it way. Our delivery was set up for everything but one item.. one important item. We had purchased a Washer and dryer, very large gas range, dishwasher, in-wall microwave, beverage station fridge, and a side by side fridge and freezer with trim kit. (The trim kit was the item missing.) These items were delivered on Feb 24th. The washer and dryer came with hoses inside them, that the salesman INSISTED they didn't come with. He coaxed us into buying hoses from him, and the gas range/oven, dishwasher, and beverage centre, were all damaged. We had already paid someone to half install them before it was noticed. We and the installer ( who also works for the Brick), contacted our salesman right away, and sent photos. On March 7th, we contacted the Brick again as we hadn't heard anything else, and were told that the kit was slated to be received at the warehouse by the 9th, and they would set up a delivery truck for the next available day. The 9th came and went and still no update. We contacted our salesman, again, and he advised us that the item would be in by March11th. Now, my husband and I are understanding and patient people, but it was beginning to be too much. We called again on the 11th and had to speak with someone else at the store only to find out that our salesman was now on vacation for the next week. While speaking with her, she was able to tell us that the Trim kit is NOT in the warehouse, NOT on the way to the warehouse and is NOT in stock with the retailer... What does this mean??? It means that when we paid for the items in full back in January....The item had not been in stock then either! This is when the stories started. The lady assured us that she would look into it further but it would be best to deal with our salesman once he returned. So we waited....We were told we would be receiving compensation for the issue. NOPE. He returned from his vacation, now being mid MARCH, and had a stern conversation. We were told that he would do what ever he could to find us a trim kit. And a few days later, he did. He took all the fame and glory in finding us a trim kit in Calgary. The ONE AND ONLY trim kit in Canada at this very moment. And he had to have it for us. So he had it shipped to the warehouse in Winnipeg. It was suppose to be in by April 4th at noon. It arrived, and so did a dishwasher to replace out dented one. They were delivered on the 6th. We scheduled our installer to attend AGAIN to FINALLY install our items. He got here a few days later and the dishwasher was exchanged without a hitch... We had the fridge and freezer emptied out and in coolers to have the other items installed.. Until the installer opened the box....THERE WAS NO HARDWARE IN THE BOX. The installer called his manager at the Brick right away and complained. Once of the phone he said "Out of the 7 Trim kits in Calgary, they sent this one, wow." The salesman lied to us, again. We are now into April 26th, and haven't had this issue resolved, with no compensation. Do not buy from The Brick! If I could give it no stars, I would. Our house is still incomplete, and our cabinets were custom built to accommodate this fridge freezer combo. read more

We were looking to upgrade our furniture and decided to stop in at The Brick on Regent Ave. We went in and looked around and this very nice young woman introduced herself KAYLA P Well a new dining table and chairs picked out Kayla helped out the to the end. No pressure. Was never rushed just a great sales lady. 2 weeks later looking for end tables. Lamps. And accent chair. You got it Kayla to.the rescue. Once again very professional. A week later decided a new TV was a great idea. Once again Kayla was very informative and we decided on a Samsung 65". Great tv and great price. I know this sounds unreal but its not. 3 days later back at the brick and picked up.the ottoman for the chair we bought and can't have i.big tv without a sound bar. Kayla helped us every.step of the way. Just awsome. If your looking for furniture or anything house related please stop in at The Brick on Regent and ask for Kayla. Tell her Dale sent you. The Brick has beautiful stuff but they do not care about you at all once the sale is made . Delivery is attocious. Customer service reps are nice to deal with but I ordered a dinning room set and a centre piece they put them on different bills and dinning room set took a month to get. They didn't call to let us know it was in and when I called they said in two days someone would call the morning they wanted to deliver and someone had to be home! I work how am I supposed to schedule that when they wouldn't have even bothered to contact me until the morning they wanted to deliver?! The centre piece was an absolute nightmare. 1.5 months later I called just to find out it hadn't even been ordered yet! So they contacted the store I saw it in to ask if I could have the floor model. From day 1 I had been asking for he floor model!! An absolute joke. I will try United furniture warehouse next time as I have seen a lot of the same furniture and am pretty certain they are owned by the same company. Hopefully more competent people! This applies to all 3 Bricks in Winnipeg as I had to go to all three of them in this fiasco. read more

my name is Richard Morin, I leave in Edmonton Alberta and I bought a power lift recliner chair in June 2013 with a full 5 year blanket coverage at UNITED FURNITURE WAREHOUSE . 1 month ago the motor broke down so I called the warranty dept. and they sended a thec. to look at the chair told me that the motor is down. THE THEC. told me he 's got to order a new one and he could take up to 1 month to get it .I wasn't please with it I need the chair to sit and get up that is why I bought the chair in the first place. I got the tracking # from customer service and check every day to my surprise the part arrived in Edmonton on the 9 th of Dec. so I figured I will get a call from the parts dep. on the 10th so I check the tracking # again on the 10th and they send it back to where it came from in the mean time I am without the chair and someone in the shipping and receiving screw up and I am the one who left without a chair talked to customer service nobody is able to help me because it's not there fault how's fault is it mine GREAT COMPANY THEY CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF THERE CUSTOMER.
