Booked a hotel room with Sleep Inn in S. Jordan, Ut & upon arrival the outside & lobby of the hotel looked like the pictures on the website. Checked in and man gave us the key. Upon entering the hallway to the room you can smell mold plus there were wet towels on the floor of the hallway. Entering the room you could really smell the mold, the carpet had spots on it, both beds had pee stains plus other stains on it. I went and complained to the deskclerk, he gave us another room. That room was a little better except one mattress was so olddesk clerk, there was no way to sleep conforms on it. We canceled & the deskclerk apologized, the worst part is the Expedia REFUSED to refund us. The hotel showed beautiful pictures of the room and facility, but maybe that's for people who book without using a "3rd Party" like Expedia. What a horrible experience read more

Decent stay for the price. Stayed here with my dogs for a night after a long drive to Utah. They were very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean. It was a bit worn down but can't complain for the price. The parking lot is open parking but you register your car. Ashish was a lifesaver. We were driving to Los Angeles and wisely decided not to drve all night. Ashish was the only hotel receptionist to answer the at 12 a.m. We tried many before we hit upon one who had a competent receptionist. We arrived and were quickly checked in and had a short, but good sleep. Room was perfect for what we needed, a clean place to lay our heads. Breakfast was ready early and was abundant. Hotel definitely needs a makeover. Bad odor in multiple rooms, yes. Multiple rooms. I had to be moved three times due to damaged entrance door to room, damaged window frame, foul odor lingering in rooms and dirty bed sheets, blankets and comforters. Also, jacuzzi isn't working and both the jacuzzi and swimming pool were filthy. Grass to swimming pool area is overgrown and the roof covering the pool is about to collapse. Hands down the worst motel/hotel experience I have ever had. I was on a road trip and just needed somewhere quick to stay. The area itself was the best part as it was near everything I needed. When I first got there they was this strange conversation between the guy at the desk and some guest. It was like they were talking in code about (things)...I wanted to turn around right then and there but my stay was prepaid and non refundable. 20 minutes after that I make it to my room. It was and clean. I went to sleep and woke up sweating. It was about 85 degrees in my room because the AC was broken. I tried to fix it myself then realized it wasn't happening so I call the 24 front desk. No answer. I walk down there and after ringing the bell and shouting a guy who was clearly sleep asks what do I want. I tell him the issue and he agrees to move me. As I'm set organizing my room when I arrive, I realized my full size suitcase cannot fit in the closet where the suitcase rack is and I need to store it under the sink. Then, I need to go to the bathroom, #2, only to realize the sliding door won't close with my boyfriend there. While I'm going to the bathroom, it looks like the wall needs to be cleaned, and it looks like there's a dried up jizz stain on the wall next to me. After I leave the bathroom, on the wall next to me, I noticed that wallpaper is peeling off. So I went to call the front desk with the phone in the room, and dialed zero, which kept ringing with no answer. So I proceeded to use my cell phone to call the front desk, which seemed to work. So it doesn't seem that the phone in the room is connected to the same front desk phone number. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, there's blackout curtains, which makes the room nice and dark, the air conditioning worked well, and there's a variety of selection for Continental breakfast. read more

Needed a comfy place to rest for a couple of days. Overall great experience. Some comments on my stay: -we stayed at one of the rooms closest to the employees only room and one morning they were pretty loud. This same room had a window facing the pool entrance and It was loud at times. The walls fell a bit thin and noise travels easily. It sounded like they were having a party upstairs from us. However my family and even my wife who's a light sleeper was able to get sleep. -there was a stain on the bedsheet that appeared to be blood -I love complimentary breakfast and this one was great. If I could give zero stars I would. When I booked was told the rooms had queen beds. Lie they were double beds very unhappy with that. The first room #124 had a broken sink like a fire cracker went off in it, the bathroom door had a softball size hole in it, the tv didn't work. Went let the the front desk know they switched us rooms (220) still only double beds and the tv still didn't work yes we tried different. Plus and all switched still nothing went again to the front desk and was told I can refund you for the night (were there Friday -Monday) or I can switch you again I said I am really tired with switching and she said it's right next door.(221) So I switched again now the tv works but the air conditioner was extremely loud, and the plug was burnt. Don't stay there this place is like a meth lab, people coming and going all hours of the night morning and people yelling and screaming all night long couldn't get any sleep at the "No Sleep Inn" when I called to get a refund they overcharge me said That I broke there tv and desk. I said I was only there for a few hours, and could not sleep all night! Then they checked the records again and said, opps that was another room not yours. I checked out the next morning. I again asked about my refund, and she said, since I booked through a third party they had to charge me $65 plus the room rate of $48 what $113. I asked well how much is the regular room rate? I would give it less than one star however, it doesn't give me the option in the five hours that we have been at this hotel. We have seen prostitutes walk in and out of the rooms there's like six doors down our hallway that are left open purposely so the girls can walk in and out. Truthfully I slept well here but there were some serious health concerns. First I tried calling the front desk several times in regards to a faulty smoke detector. They never answered. Next morning I found out the front desk number on phone in room don't work and you have to actually make a out of hotel phone call to reach the front desk. Wish I knew that upon check in. The reason I was calling was because my very old fire detector looked more like a camera than a fire detector. It was just hanging from ceiling by wires then when I checked the wire connections several were disconnected. The next day I found out the phone system was broke and had been for some time I also learned it's okay for the fire detector to be hanging and wires missing....it all seemed very odd because the smart butt manager was very comfortable with the hotels failures. Later, as I was leaving I saw him coaching a new lady, 2 times his age on how to pick up trash. You could tell she may quit any moment! I grew up during the days boys handled affairs among themselves with fist in school yards and parking lots. Hey! Where's the choice for "Zero stars"?! Motel Hell @ the Sleep Inn, 10676 S. 300 W., S. Jordan, UT, US, 84095 1st room (#129) was already occupied 2nd room (#221) , the heater didn't work 3rd room (#214), one of the beds was "electrified", i.e., when one rubbed one's skin on the sheets (which is what one does all the time when one is in bed if one tosses and turns) hundreds of sparks, accompanied by sharp crackling sounds, would jump from the sheet to the hairs on my body, until, after an hour, I felt like I had been plugged into a wall socket, and the hairs on my legs and arms were "permanently" (it did eventually subside) "standing up"! So, since there were two beds in the room, I joined my wife in the other bed, and after a half hour, we were both complaining that our skin was itching all over our bodies. I speculated to her that I wondered if the sheet hadn't been rinsed thoroughly and that the residue of some laundry product had been left in the sheets, and was that possible chemical residue reacting with the static electricity in the room coupled with the polyester sheets? Or, was there stray voltage (you can google that term) in the room? Or, I wondered out loud to her, I wondered if the hotel was located near high-voltage power lines? After telling here these ideas, I went to the room's window and looked out of the window! I saw high-voltage power lines about 100 yards from our room! So we left the Sleep Inn motel and rented a room at a Comfort Inn in West Valley City, UT. We request that we be given a full refund. Sincerely, Clayton L Olson P.S. This place is usually one of the lower-priced Choice Hotels options around the valley and I feel like it's one of the best values. It's consistently clean and quiet, kept up well and the breakfast is pretty good. Front desk is very nice too. It works well for me as a single dude but the only downside is that the rooms are very small (standard for Sleep Inns and the main reason why they're cheaper than Comfort Inns and such), so it's a little tight for a couple and gonna be a real poor idea if you're trying to cram kids and Dorgs in there too. read more

Taking into account the reasonable rates, the Sleep Inn South Jordan is a decent place to stay. I can't say I'd recommend it strongly (3.5 stars sounds about right, but I rounded up to 4). I'll provide more details below: Grounds: For its class, this hotel looks very well kept inside and out. Nice landscaping and no major maintenance issues. Overall, it's a very inviting little property. Service: Check in was friendly, and everyone I encountered here was courteous. No complaints about service. Room: In a word, acceptable. They did a nice job touching up these rooms some time in the past few years. They feature new bed linens and more modern décor than you might expect. I found the bed to be perfectly comfortable, the furniture in good condition, and the bathroom to be functional. Most importantly, the room was spotlessly clean. However, not everything was great. First of all, know that this property (like most Sleep Inns) has smaller rooms. It was certainly enough space for me staying on my own, but it would be tight with 2 people--especially the bathroom. There were also some maintenance issues. The ceiling was noticeably patched in several places, the wallpaper near the TV was peeling off, the air conditioner was missing its vent cover, the shower door was missing a handle, and the shower drain cover had completely come off. Some basic maintenance would have made my experience here a lot better. Speaking of things that are a bit tight, the breakfast area was ridiculous. The tiny room was so crowded at 8:30 am on a weekday morning that I couldn't even get to the food. I think they'd benefit a lot by turning this into a grab-and-go breakfast, eliminating most of the seating that crowds the limited space. Overall, this property is fine for an overnight stay. It's clean, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are functional. I feel sorry for whoever rented the room they took the TV from. The second time not was terrible. Gave us a room with three broken lamps, stained carpet in room and in hallway. room stunk (smelly). Asked for another room, none available. Left a day early after 2 nights and promised a new room we never got. Couldn't switch us to another room as they were booked but could have arranged for a refund or to switch us hotels if possible. We also had issues with plug ins and electricity in general. I stayed here because there were 4 stars. Whoever gave them that many stars was dead wrong! The bathroom was a hole in the wall with a slippery plastic walk-in shower and I hated it! The service desk was empty most of the time, when I walked up to see if they computer was open for use the guy looked at me like I was asking to use his toilet. Just disgusted about it so I turned around and walked away. The doors were filthy! I used a towel to wipe it because they didn't clean them at all! And I was shocked the breakfast was not serving anything at all! Not even fruit and toast! Come on people! At least give out a sack breakfast! I will never stay there again! I got this one by chance. Checked in and the room was relatively clean with some spots on the carpet. I went to sleep and when I woke up, my feet had an itchy feeling. I was apprehensive in booking this place after reading similar reviews. It is the week after the 4th of July weekend, and my family and I came home to a house that was cranky about being left while we went on vacation. We came home from a extremely frustrating trip to southern Utah (I know, I know-who goes on vacation to Hades in July) to find out house 98 degrees on the inside. Needless to say, we had to find a cheap place that was two big dog friendly on spur of the moment notice. I called Shauna, the front desk receptionist who was pleasant, cheerful, and soothing to my frazzled nerves. Not only did they have a room. They took pets, all sizes, all ages, all types. My pups are 60# and 75# respectively. They were accommodating, and did not bat an eye when we walked in with two very hot dogs, and two very frazzled owners. We got settled in, and Shauna called about 10 minutes later to make sure we were settled in, the dogs were ok, and if we needed anything. I jokingly asked for a dog tranquilizer, and she gave me wonderful advice to neutralize two very large pups in a somewhat small space. (Her advice was dead on, I called the vet to double check). Now, the hotel is not anything spectacular, showy, or top of the line. But it is a clean room that accommodated me, my family, and our two dogs without any hassle at all. I gave it 5 stars for pet owners exclusively. Those from UTah know that July is home to the 100+ club for heat, so we are thrilled to find a place that is close to the house, and very pet friendly. Originally when I called to check on the room price and pet policy, Shauna steered me to online booking-which was cheaper then reservations over the phone. It was cheaper, not significantly- but worth it. Pet policy: an additional $10 per pet per room per day. Our boys cost us $40 for our stay- but the piece of mind knowing they were not outside in this wretched heat was worth it. read more

Housekeeping went into several of my coworkers rooms even with the do not disturb sign clearly visible on the door. Came back from work one day with some of my food missing that I had just purchased the night before. Lousy breakfast unless you want stale cereal and 50 pieces of microwave bacon. He took the time to guide my family and the team around town on a personal level. We are from California and were in town for our soccer tournament. He went above and beyond to make sure my family and the team were comfortable and he also took the time to tell us about some of the best places to visit out there. I just got back from Cali 10 hours drive straight through I'm super tired I'm getting ready for a viewing funeral. My boyfriend went inside and asked them if we could pay for an early check in and they said yea early check in isnt until 10 or 11 and we said okay that's fine so we drove around a couple hours and then came back at ten this time I walked inside and there were two bigger ladies at the front desk one had heavy make up and lip stick on. And the other had piercings all over her face.. so unprofessional well I asked them about the early check in like my boyfriend had earlier .. and they said not till 3 I had explained to them what my boyfriend was told and they both gave me attitude and started laughing at me!! And even after I said I would pay extra they started yelling at me saying they don't have clean rooms I have never been treated so poorly in customer service !! We have been amazing Regular guests to you guys and then we get treated this way ! I don't know if it's new employment but I'm not happy!!!
