Joan the manager who check us in was absolutely the most friendliest and nicest lady ever. She made our stay so smooth. They also have movies you can check out, games, all kinds of food, candy, drinks, chips, toiletries and so much more for purchase. The breakfast in the morning is phenomenal for a hotel free breakfast and each morning it's different. Every Wednesday they have cocktails and light refreshments. They have a nice enclosed pool and hot tub. A very nice gym w a peloton. The whole hotel is always clean and nice smell to it. We checked into a suite which had a king bed, a queen pull out bed, kitchenette w a full fridge, fully stocked w dishes, dishwasher, one eye stove, full size microwave pots and pans and so much more. The bed was sooooo comfortable. The shampoo and conditioner was amazing, so amazing I had to order some for my house. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel and the location of this hotel. Just love love love this hotel and its staff. Don't change a thing. read more

This review is specific to the Springhill Suites meeting rooms, not the overall hotel. I booked these two meeting rooms a couple of months ago for my wife's 60th birthday party which we held last Friday evening. I came to work today prepared to go online and leave a great review until the event manager Char sent me my final receipt. The charge for the two rooms was $700 plus a $100 charge (I'm still not sure why other than they brought in two pitchers of tap water) for bringing in our own catering. I swallowed hard at that but thought to myself, OK. When I got the final bill it showed a charge of an EXTRA $160 for a "banquet gratuity" which is a complete made-up charge since we did not use ANY BANQUET SERVICES! When I called Charlotte to please remove the gratuity she told me no and that it is in the contract. I mistakenly thought that there would be a "banquet gratuity" IF WE USED THEIR BANQUET SERVICES. This really brings down my level of trust with the Mariott brand and the event manager specifically. MAKE SURE AND READ THE FINE PRINT. read more

After having an amazing experience in a SpringHill Marriott hotel yesterday, we gave this one a try. I was surprised that the SpringHill suites had very similar decorations and layout. Overall this hotel was clean and functional with all the amenities I expect but I will say that cleanliness wasn't quite what I would have liked to see. The couch and carpeting in particular was in need of a deep cleaning. This hotel has many restaurants near by which is a plus depending on your traveling style. I still like the SpringHill suite brand and will continue to use them but would recommend this location catch up to some of their other brand locations I have stayed in recently. read more

I felt like I was at home! From the staff at the front desk, to the cleaning ladies, to the breakfast buffet ladies everyone was so nice and welcoming. My room was comfortable, open, and modern. The bed felt like heaven and so did the couch. I didn't want to get up and move, but I finally did and made it down to the gym, which was small, but had a couple of machines and weights. I was able to zone out and get in a good work out while using their "okay" wifi. The wifi would go in and out a lot especially on my laptop. I love that the TV had the option to connect my pandora and Netflix and had a good number of channels as well. The breakfast was great as well and had an amazing selection of fruit, pastries, juices, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Everything was so yummy! Love the barn door to the bathroom which saves space and the relaxing photos of greenery with dewdrops. I enjoyed staying at this Springfield Suites (by Marriott), and I'd gladly stay there again. (They could improve on a few things, though.) My breakdown ***** I. CHECK-IN: This Springfield Suites location has free, large parking lot. Also, I had a seamless experience checking into the hotel. II. ROOM: I stayed in room 106. Aside from not so fantastic musty smell, which I asked for a room change (ultimately denied). They sort of remedied with a serious Febreeze spraying it everywhere. A) BED: I rank the bed as the most important factor, for my stay, and I think Springfield Suites offers one of the comfiest I've ever used. The firm king-sized mattress provides plenty of support without giving too much, the pillows didn't hurt my neck, and clean white sheets will always win me over. B) TEMPERATURE: They don't have central air, which I didn't love, but the room seemed cool enough for me. They utilize one of those long floor-bound side-room units. Controlled by a thermostat, of course. C) CLEANLINESS: Everything seemed well-wiped down and cleaned well. I didn't feel gross staying there. D) BATHROOM: New, spacious, and comfortable. I especially loved the non-bathtub shower. It felt like showering in a gigantic closet. E) DESK: The desk had plenty of available outlets (accommodating biz travelers, I guess), and I liked their pleather chair. III. SERVICE: I didn't have any problems checking in, but I felt like the service could've been better, overall. A couple things: - The smell in the room did persist, and I wish they would've tried harder to move me to another room or provide some sort of "Hey, we're sorry. Here's a drink on us." - I asked for toothpaste to be delivered to my room (this is super late at night where I spent a day traveling), and the person downstairs told me I had to go to the front to retrieve it. That meant I had to get fully dressed just to get toothpaste. A couple touches here and there would've helped improve my experience. IV. OTHER AMENITIES: - The tiny gym has three or four cardio machines (elliptical and treadmill) with a meager rack of dumbbells and flat bench. - A pool exists, but it didn't seem all too great. - I didn't have their complimentary breakfast, but I did try their coffee. Standard. V. OVERALL: I would stay at Springfield Suites, again; however, I think I would consider staying at another Marriott property in the future. read more

Although I've visited family here at this hotel in the past, it was the first time I've stayed here in a room. Check in was a breeze, the front desk lady was pleasant and super helpful. She was able to accommodate a room that fit all our needs. We had a double bed room that came with a sofa bed too so my sisters and I fit comfortably. Plenty of towels too which is important for a family of mostly girls. Although there is a desk that kind of separates the living space from the bed area, you can just slide open that window to allow for everyone to be involved in the fun! This location is also convenient for me because it's down the street from my mom and sisters place. However, if you don't feel like driving, there's a Black Bear Diner next door and entertainment like the movie theatre or All Stars for bowling, etc. We spent all night at the fire pit out front of the hotel (off to the side you can't miss it) hanging out and cracking jokes. We met so many other people coming in and out of the hotel that participated in some of our fun; Great way to meet people too! The fire pit area has lots of chairs and tables to accommodate one to a group of people! Overall, it was a great over night stay, great service and amenities and clean hotel! If rates are good, I'll continue stay here when I visit! read more

Stayed here for the second time and was not impressed again. I traveled 5 hours for an event and booked online. BE ADVISED PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN DRAPER but are allowed in Thanksgiving Point at the Springhill Suites for a 1-time fee of $50 no matter how many you have. Same hotel with different rules. DONT TRUST the online booking sites! Not treated the best. Pool not the best as well. read more

Room was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Housekeeping is doing a great job and friendly. Front desk agent was patient and kind while helping me figure out my reservation at check in (11/1 morning) Breakfast is from 630a-9a. Nice and hot. Had eggs, bacon, pork sausage, diff cereal options, oatmeal, pastries and fruits (bananas and oranges) Coffee, hot chocolate, milk, water and diff juice. Draper Peaks shopping mall just a short 10 or so min walk from hotel. A couple restaurants right around hotel as well. Also a bowling and entertainment center nearby for some family fun activities also Pins & Ales for 21+. We used Uber to go to nearby malls about an 8 min drive. Had a little trouble with connecting to WiFi, YouTube was not working on tv and while watching tv and/or Netflix for over an hour, the tv would freeze and then black out and restart. Minor issues if you aren't spending much time in the room. Anyway, great service, convenient location. read more

The free breakfast is not that impressive but there is a Black Bear Diner right across the parking lot which is EXCELLENT. So, overall, I highly recommend this location. read more

Great little place with a modern, clean look and feel. Receptionist was really sweet and directed me to the elevators, which are a bit hard to find if you aren't paying attention to the tiny signs above. Same goes for the elevators upstairs - if you don't pay attention, you will feel lost once you leave your room. The decor in the room was very modern. Rooms are spacious and have a couch and desk. There's a small fridge in the room as well. The bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Would definitely stay here again for business trips or a trip with the wife. read more

This place looks contemporary, is squeaky clean, and it's obvious that the architects and designers designers spent a lot of time thinking about how to combine a modern look with perfect function. One of the top Springhill Suites I've stayed in. The hotel looks modern and sleek. The lobby is a bit on the small end, but does it's job. The rooms are clean, furniture amazing, and the bathroom, I love the mirror. Wireless internet is free and blazing fast. Channel selection for the TV is extensive with local networks and HBO to boot. Lots of food options in either direction of State Street. I'll definitely be staying here again. read more

We have stayed here a few times. The people at the front desk have always been friendly. The rooms are very nice. Beds are comfortable and I love the pillows! Breakfast has always been good. The only complaint I have is that there seems to be more people than tables and food. Positives: The room was pretty, and clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for our needs. Negatives: We never got a secure connection to the wifi, and the unsecure site kept losing the connection. The sofa was uncomfortable, and the breakfast was terrible. As a person that has to watch sugars, I was counting on a good protein breakfast. There were eggs and sausages, but they were so terrible that I couldn't eat them. The eggs were gross, and I think they steamed the sausages. I gagged a few bites down, and had some fruit. The rest of the options were sugary cereals, and sweet rolls. Clean, modern, friendly, affordable ... -1 star only for location. We had a two-bed suite with a hideaway bed to accommodate our kids -- perfect. We used it as home base for sight-seeing in SLC -- not an ideal location, but the quality and the cost made up for that. During the summer this seems like it'd be a great stay-over to hit Cowabunga Bay water park next door and maybe Boondocks fun park down the road. read more

Recently spent one night here and what an improvement over my last year's stay. They now have Direct TV with so many channels. The breakfast tastes so much better, with cooked through eggs and toppings. Last time I was there, the eggs were not cooked fully and there were no toppings. Love the free WiFi in the rooms. And that shower! Full hot water with high pressure stream, lots of room. My home shower is small, with low water pressure. This was luxury at its best. The toiletries are sage and lemon, yummy fragrance. Can't wait for my next stay! read more

Had to be in the area and found this hotel online. Glad we chose it. Location was excellent. Restaurants, movies, and shopping were all close by and unexpected. Made for a better stay. Katy at the front desk was exceptional in her service. Asked all of the right questions to ensure a nice stay. Hotel is newer generation. Decor was pleasant. Suite was perfect. Layout had good separation of sitting area from sleeping area. Peaceful nights sleep due to comfortable bed and pillows. Hooray for this hotel to have Direct TV. 300 channels. You don't stay for the service. Family trip brought be to the location and had stayed in the past for a wedding. I was here on 4 night stay this time and had several interactions with the staff including the manager. Almost every single time was terrible with the exception of one employee, Lisa at the front desk was pleasant and welcoming. Their housekeeping department wasn't very good or the friendliest, really lack detail; my room had several stains on the bed skirt, carpet, sheets not to forget all the dust I found. Aside from the lack of service and housekeeping it was well decorated. Enjoyed the gym, small but fitted for the property. Checking in and out was easy. This is the best hotel in Draper. I've stayed here before, and would always want to stay in this hotel. This past visit, I was in UT because my granddaughter was going into the hospital. This hotel was not available for 2 nights, only for 1 night. At the time of reservation, Marriott.com was going thru changes and not available to login members, so i booked this reservation outside my usual login on their webpage. Because of that, it was not included in my reservations. I overlooked that when i found another hotel that was available to 2 nights, i did not cancel this reservation. I was charged for the 'no-show' for 2 rooms. I called the hotel directly and talked to the Manager, Sandy. I had to say i was a little upset when I talked to her. Her professional manner in which she handled the situation is the ONLY reason why I stay at Marriott properties. Unlike the Marriott Courtyard in Sandy, whose Supervisor was rude and talked to me like a child and scolded me. I will always look for this hotel to stay at and would recommend this hotel HIGHLY. It pays to be a Marriott Rewards member and be treated like a welcomed customer. Thank you to Sandy, Supervisor at SpringHill for understanding my situation. read more

The hotel was nice and clean. I have stayed in Springhill Suites throughout the US and really like the fresh new look of them. Loved the updated bathroom in this one. The staff were all pleasant and courteous. This hotel was conveniently located near what we had to do in SLC. There were only two issues, which is why I gave just 3 stars instead of higher: 1. We couldn't get the TV to turn on. No big deal, we were both too tired to really care. 2. The heater/air conditioning unit ran literally nonstop, and was so loud it woke us up several times in the night. That is an issue I would check on before staying again. read more

Unfortunately our family decided to have a 1 year old birthday party @ Springhill Suites in Draper. We used their event rooms which definitely need to be updated. First disappointment was finding out that they didn't block out the rooms we requested. We brought in food that needed to be kept warm and some of the outlets didn't work. They said that they provide water and they didn't refill any of the pitchers. We had to hunt down the kitchen and refill them ourselves. Cleaning is included in the contract and pricing. I found out on Monday morning via my credit card alert that they charged me an extra $200 cleaning fee. I spoke to the manager Sandy Willis who was very rude and claimed to have pictures to prove that we left the event rooms a mess. At the end of our party we did some light cleaning, stacked some chairs, and took out several bags of garbage so I'm not sure what she was talking about. She told me we were very disrespectful leaving the room a mess - who says this??? She said she had pictures that she never sent. On top of all of this we were never informed by the front desk that there were complaints. At the end of our party we left the staff and guests a full sheet of cake and my husband left a tip @ the front desk for whoever was supposed to clean the room. Sandy Willis should have informed me of additional $200 fee before charging my card AND she should have called me if she had concerns. They had all my contact info on file. In fact we stayed overnight Saturday to Sunday so I'm confused as to why no one said anything before we checked out. Management is shady and the property is ok. Nothing to write home about. I strongly suggest not using their event rooms since it appears they CAN'T handle events read more
