I went in for a body pillow, and the owner tried to sell me a 400.00 pillow, told me my mattress was no good (without knowing the brand) told me he was a former ski champion (without being asked) and told me I needed to exercise and eat more carrots and celery, like he does. The only bad thing about buying a plasmabed is you will never be happy sleeping on any other mattress! I just took delivery of my new Plasmabed (to replace the one I bought from Sleep Mart 15 years ago). Hunter made the process easy as can be. No pressure, no hyperbole. He answered all of my questions professionally and courteously. Delivery was quick and the guys were great. These beds are the most comfortable, supportive matresses you can buy. There is no motion transfer, and they last a long time. I do not understand why anyone would scrimp on something as crucial to ones' wellness as a great mattress. You can go cheaper, but you will not sleep as well, you will not be happy, and you will find yourself replacing it within a year or two. Do yourself a favour, save your time and money, and just get a Plasmabed. You will not regret the purchase. This is a high quality product which offers great value and durability.The Plasmabed is hands down the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Please consider learning from my mistakes. First of all without a verbal reminder, it's all sales final from the moment you sign. I mistakenly thought I was walking into a Sleep Country and it turned out to be some cheap imitation called Sleep Mart which is frankly only interested in selling their Plasmabed. The salesman enthusiastically pushed this Plasmabed which is virtually nowhere to be found online; something I very foolishly discovered too late. (Note that anything about this plasmabed online leads back to these guys-- you will NOT find an independent review anywhere). He also compared everything else in his store to " Hondas" as compared to the plasmabed " Cadillac." I foolishly found out what I needed to know after my purchase and WAY before delivery. This guy also continuously bad mouthed his competitors with glee. I, very stupidly, went ahead and bought two of these mattresses. When I called to ask for a refund, this once chipper salesman started to drip oil through the phone line. He was argumentative, loud, bullying and acted suspiciously like this wasn't his first rodeo with this issue. Uncomfortable "hard sellers" who could care less about their customers after they sign on the dotted line. Do I have buyer's remorse? You bet. A dehumanizing and expensive experience. STEER CLEAR OF THESE SCAMMERS!!! Anticlimactic update: I got a message from a "supervisor" named Todd from the North Van location who sleepily asked who called who and when I explained my situation he said there was nothing he could do and that " someone just asked him to call me." He mumbled this with all the sincerity and enthusiasm of a guy who just had a sleepless night on a Plasmabed. Apparently all locations are run by unscrupulous Aholes. STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS. At least Sleep Country has an honest and upfront return policy and boy, I wish I landed there ...or anywhere else first. read more

First their website has no pricing.... ugggg really? Then the guy i talked to on the phone - with knowing little of the other's that I have talked to - says disparaging comments about the competition's inventory and their pricing. I also got the feeling like he would try to upsell me at every turn. I have no concrete evidence of this - it is just a feeling, but I am RARELY wrong on these thing! We purchased a dream series years ago from Sleep Mart after my husband broke his collarbone and continued to suffer from numb arms in the mornings. We both have slept so much better since, a solid seven hours and wake up refreshed and ready to go! We returned last week to purchase another bed for our cabin we miss it so when we aren't home! Our old mattress was causing the overworked back problems to return. I would highly recommend Sleepmart as my parents both had severe back pain and nerve tension and now no longer wake up in pain. Todd was very thoughtful and thorough as he took the time to make sure my parents got exactly what they needed and within their budget. I have dealt with numerous companies in the past and none can compare to the professionalism and quality of service as this company. Do your research! We went to Sleep Mart to look for a new latex mattress. The salesperson would not clearly state what was in the mattress. He said that the company won't disclose what's in the mattress and that most companies won't tell you that info anyway. The new bed we were looking at (including adjustable base) was over $6500. I did some research when I got home and found this website--themattressunderground.com. Don't buy anything unless you know what it's made of. A reputable mattress place should be able to clearly tell you what's inside the item you're buying. Be aware of glossy pamphlets with fluff info and salespeople that focus on 'customer testimonials' rather than clearly explaining their products. Stay away from this sketchy place. read more

I've been sleeping on my Plasma bed for a few months now and it is the best matress I've ever had. I sleep deeper, more quietly, feeling supported completely and waking up rested. The service in the Richmond store was amazing - professional, well-informed, cheerful, sense of humour and respectful. I will post another review as the situation has been amended. Sleep Mart has agreed to refund me the 15% restocking fee as well as the delivery charges. I am waiting for the credit to show up. I see on the Sleep Mart website as well as the Bodyworks website that they are now clear in their product descriptions that the mattress I puchased is made of both latex and foam. It looks as though bodyworks has some other models that truly are 100% latex but after the experience I had I would encourage you to inspect these mattresses for yourself, be sure you know what is inside, have them unzip the cover and show you the layers. I am pleased that Sleep Mart refunded my money and is now more upfront with their advertising. read more
