Very nice water, indoor and out. Helpful staff, everyone is pleasant. I have been there a dozen times. A few things I don't understand. 1. They have two huge industrial exhaust fans that create so much noise its difficult to hold a conversation at that end of the pool. It's not peaceful. It sounds about as loud as an airline flight. Way more decibels than you realize. The pool area sounds like an industrial warehouse. Why could they not position the fans outside, away from the building, drawing the ventilation quietly? 2. The locker rooms. C'mon guys! They are vintage 1960 -70. The locks don't work. Spider webs on the windows. Kinda funky. read more

Very clean ! Stayed in a suite, has a patio but no chairs to use! Comfortable beds, soft sheets, in room coffee pot. Walls very thin can hear conversations as people walk by the room! Water is amazing ! Floors in lobby and to pool are extremely slippery (wear shoes). The only downfall was nowhere for breakfast on a Monday morning! Next time we will stay in a lodge and bring our own food to eat breakfast and won't hear others talking in the hallway ! It was worth the 5 1/2 hour drive but will stay 2 nites in a cabin here! read more

Good stop on our way across the country. The 3 indoors pools, hot, warm, and cold were enjoyable and the atmosphere is relaxing. It is $15 for an adult day pass. Only giving 4 stars since the locker room could use an update. read more

This place is fantactic get away for middle of no where. I brought my own food and drinks. The changing room was dirty there were diapers just laying around 9n the floor. The tubs were warm though and that was refreshing for such a cold day! read more

I have wanted to come here for several years now. Was not disappointed. It's about a 3 hour drive from where I live in Montana. I knew I might arrive late, the hostess was very accommodating and stayed late to meet us. The cabin was more than cute and romantic Very clean and non-smoking. Full gally kitchen and a grill outside. The bed was more than comfy and also very clean. The pool is warm like a bath, the hot tub is not too hot and the sauna is on point They have a full convenience store and they also have some pizzas you can enjoy pool side. Although we came on a romantic getaway, it would be great for any kind of event. They even have pool toys complimentary.My only complaint was the water pressure in our shower was sub-par. Really though it didn't bother me too much and didn't put me out to much. The rates are also reasonable for all you get to enjoy. Met the owner, Dennis very nice man, made us feel very welcomed. There is also a small bar next door to the resort so that's a nice bonus . A mile up the road is a camping/ fishing spot also. Malta is 17 miles west of the resort and has everything you could want or need and some great food spots. The locals are more than willing help you out. Highly recommend read more

This is a great local hideaway. Super relaxed, with a sulfur mineral pool that doesn't smell. Then there is the hot spring pool, the sauna and the cold pool. There is a weight room that costs extra, but looks very nice. They also have some food and snacks. Overall this is an really fun place. read more

We stayed in one of the newer 2 bedroom cabins and it was beautiful. The cabin was nicely furnished and very comfortable. There was no temp posted at the hot pool, but if I had to guess, I would guess in the 104-105 range. Perfect. The large pool was the perfect temp for just bobbing around and relaxing. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. The resort sells a variety of frozen pizzas and things like that, so if you like really good food, bring your own and cook in either your cabin or camper. It is obvious that the owners are putting in some great effort to make a beautiful place, where people can have a great experience. I am looking forward to our next visit. read more

Love this hot spring. I've been to every developed hot spring in the state and those this one seems low on mineral content, it still in my top three favorites. Such a great part of the state filled with hard working montanans... you get to avoid the patagucci crowds of Bozeman and Livingston and the starry eyed out of staters in the far west. The hot springs and facilities are beautiful, the wooden high ceiling and windows made the pool lovely in the day and night. The girl that helped with the reservation on the phone was very nice and thoughtful, when she knew we were arriving after hours she made sure I had clear instructions over the phone to get to the camp site. The prices for the hot spring are very reasonable. My only negative point for this place is specifically for tent camping, there was an unbelievable amount of bugs and mosquitoes, this was in august. It may have been a seasonal problem, not too much a surprise due to water and farms near by, but the amount of bugs really made the camping part unpleasant, I did see they had a sign about fogging for mosquitoes but it still was an issue, 3 days later and my legs are still covered with bites and itching like crazy, we are on a camping road trip with our baby, I would not camp here again unless we have an RV, but for sure would return for a swim only or to try out one of their cabins. read more

Cycled out to my the hot springs for a quick weekend. Wow - was wondering why I hadn't done it before. Facilities were impressive - staff even more so. Would recommend for any cyclist touring the Trans American route on HWY 2. Will definitely do that again! read more

This is Montana's hidden gem hot springs resort. It is very out of the way. As a native Montanan I have been going here all my life. It had fallen into disrepair and recent owners have kept managed to keep all the original beauty of the place; 1930's rustic design and original masonry and update the facilities, into a place that I would recommend. They are in the process of restoring original cabins and adding new hotel facilities. The hot springs was a depression era project (WPA) that sourced the naturally hot mineral water into a spa. The Sleeping Buffalo refers to a rock at the entrance. Please stop to see the ancient text scored into the sacred stone. Be respectful. The restoration is fantastic. The slow decline was unfortunate to see. Many devotees may have given up during its bad years. Today the pools restored and maintained. The locker rooms are stylish and updated There is a gym on site. The owners are constructing an outdoor patio for the future. Remember to check operating hours. Most tourism in the area revolves around hunting season. This is the perfect place to come in from the cold relax and soak indoor a hot pool, warm pool and sauna. Large windows and skylights allow lovely natural light and a view to the outdoors, from a warm vantage. The bar next door is independent. It is the kind of "dive bar" that people in metropolitan areas strive to fabricate. Nothing but genuine article here-charming, local and without pretense. So do not bring any in with you. read more

Never expected this to be as awesome as it was! The attraction has new ownership, which is demonstrating meticulous care of this historical site. While there is still work to be done, the hot spring bathing facility is top notch - large, clean and multiple options - hot, very hot and cool! The proprietors are very welcoming and you can camp in the recently upgraded campground with full hookups. read more

My girlfriend and i had stayed here, in early october. Our stay started out well, the front desk lady was friendly and sent us on our way with directions to our cabin around the side of the property. As we came upon our cabin we had noticed someone was parked in our cabin spot, so we drove to the nearest available spot and carried our luggage to the cabin. I believe it was a worker who had parked in our cabins spot, which i found rather unaccommodating. Upon Our arrival to the front door of the cabin however, we immediately notice an onslaught of beetles and boxelder bugs. No problem though, right? They are just outside, i thought to myself. That thought was briefly entertained, however, for just as soon as i opened the door to "The Bungalo (cabin 2) I saw as many bugs inside as there were out. Needless to say i spent the next 10 minutes with a towel in hand, trying to act as an extermitator all while consoling my girlfriend for what was supposed to be a romantic get away. As soon as i was done killing bugs and carrying in our luggage from our truck it was time to firgure out how to add some heat to a 50 degree cabin. We were freezing, there was a gas heater fireplace in the room but i could not figure out how to get it running. I stepped outside my room and asked a young man who was working on a greenhouse nearby if he knew anything about how to get the heater going, he provided help and tought me exactly how to operate the heater. It involved sticking my hand through a bundle of loose wires hanging out from the bottom of the heater. This proved problems all night. All that aside, my girlfriend and i headed to the pool area, which was actually pretty dang awesome. We had a good night for the most part, laughing with eachother as we lay in a blown out matress and joking about which one of us was going to swallow a bug while sleep. The next morning we got up and went on our way back home to Bismarck, North Dakota, with another interesting yet exciting trip to put in the memory bank. This experience was soon to become sour. When my girlfriend checked her bank account and had noticed an additional 100 dollar charge from sleeping buffalo. She called the resort that next day, politely inquiring about this charge, thinking it was just an error. At that point the owner dennis, took the phone from the receptionist and started yelling at my girlfriend, accusing her of stealing a TV remote controller. On top of that he blamed her for a guest the following night that cancelled his reservation for the room because there was no remote controller. At this point my girlfriend was in tears as she explained that we never took a remote with is. I pulled my truck over at this point and had a brief chat with dennis, explaining we would certainly check our luggage to see if we did in fact accidentally pack the remote and we even offered to pay for a remote just to calm him down. He declines and that is that. (A thorough search of our luggage upon arrival home provided no remote, in fact the only thing we took home were boxelder bugs, which migrated into our clothing and suitcases that were once inside their cabin) A few days later i call again seeking answers, no one is around to take my call. I call a few days later, and again. And eventually i get to dennis again who tells me they got a new remote and that they would refund us (they must have found their remote) A week goes by. No refund. I call again and eventually get in touch with a lady who seemed friendly and said she would do a refund, but it never came. 2 weeks now today I made a call to Dennis again, to be greeted violently. "I am so sick of hearing from you' were his exact words. Little to say that was an unresolved conversation. A formal complaint has been filed with the state. Stay away. It might be a nice place to swim but i do not reccomend any interaction or stay at this facility. Visited October 2017 read more
