I…read morecalled CDP last week after being recommended by my girlfriend and I was able to book an appointment for under one week away. See, the problem was that I thought I had broken a filling, turns out after an X-ray that I had in fact broken my whole tooth - sounds painful, right? Well you'll be pleased to know that the dentist was able to preform the whole fixing procedure without causing any pain at all. There was a jovial atmosphere in this dentist, something I had never ever experienced before. I am not squeamish at all at the dentist but if you were, the whole vibe of the place would put you at total ease. The reception is cosy with plenty of reading material on offer. The receptionist I met today was excellent. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment but was treated immediately as they had no current patients in. This dentist is private but is relatively cheap in comparison to other dentists I have been to over the years. In terms of accessibility it's excellent. Just off the M1 with parking just down the road at a shopping complex. An easy 5 stars from me - I never thought I'd say this but I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Any time I phone for an appointment I get seen to that week. They also offer early morning appointments and open late on Wednesday nights for us 9am-5pm people. You will not be waiting ages to be seen, you will be in and out in no time and you will not be charged and arm or leg for a check-up and/or routine appointment. CDP is located at Finaghy Cross Roads so you will never be stuck for parking. All in all a great dental practice.

A part of my tooth had sheared off,…read moreleaving my tooth thinner than normal and I booked an emergency appointment to have some filler put in to thicken the tooth. The dentist called John-Joe Hartigan was appointed to manage my situation. I told him that the sole reason for me coming to the dentist was to get my emergency tooth repair fixed. The first appointment I had xrays done and I was informed four times by reception that I will have my emergency tooth repair fixed on the next appointment. John also told me once that I will be getting my tooth repaired on the next appointment. Shortly after, I received an email detailing a dental plan for other work that could be done aswell. The plan had me down for getting a general teeth clean on the second appointment and the entire dental plan did not list my emergency to be dealt with at all. I phoned reception and she said that John had accidentally left out the tooth repair and that I will be getting it fixed on the second appointment as I was told before. Later, I arrived for my second appointment and John told me that I was getting a general dental teeth clean today. I questioned him as to why my emergency tooth repair was not getting fixed and he said we can do that another time. John knew that I was only there to get my emergency tooth repair completed and it seems that he wanted to get as much money out of me as possible before he considered fixing my emergency. I would strongly advise others to avoid getting dental work done with John-Joe Hartigan.

A newcomer to Belfast, I had not yet set up any…read moredental or health care, and as luck would have it I bit into a sandwich and broke my front left tooth crown (a 2K one from previous reconstructive dental work). And this happened on a Saturday holiday weekend. I searched the Internet and began calling dentists in the city, and after the fifth call someone at gentle dental actually answered the phone: by Tuesday morning my tooth was fully repaired. The receptionist, office manager, and dentist were all extremely accommodating. The initial setup as a new patient was very thorough, but without being impersonal and curt. I felt like I got to know the staff a little bit, they got to know me, and when I thought it might be a little over personal, I was in the dentist chair and it was strictly business: full exam, good discussion about my options, and although I thought the best thing to do was to spend the extra money and get a full replacement, they recommended otherwise (excellent advice in hindsight). Thank you for such great service, I'll be a permanent customer from now on.

Mark is private while David does both nhs and private work. All of the staff are very friendly, I credit their approach on why I don't have a fear of the dentist. They have won the best surgery from the Irish dentistry awards for several years running, including this year. They also won the uk dentistry award a few years back. The prices seem standard when I ask friends what they pay at their dentists. They also have a wide range of cosmetic and orthodontic treatments like veneers, tooth whitening, Invisalign braces and Six Month Smile braces. I would highly recommend them.

I never could understand why she turns her back in silence ignorantly in return for your thanking and bye! For the last appointment I kept waiting for nearly one hour in waiting room. Although it wasn't the first time that I was keeping waiting without any notice or apologise, the hearing of the respectful notice to a patient who was seating beside me 10 minute in advance for probable over waiting for 5 min caused to ask for the reason of unequal respect and responsibility to patients. In reply to my complaint, I was told aggressively "YOU ARE OUR NHS PATIENT" and also "IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY IT'S BETTER TO CHANGE YOUR DENTIST. I CAN'T DO NOTHING FOR YOU". She said that and left her tools aside!!! After one hour wasting my time on waiting chair, I left her practice with lots of pain, physically and mentally! Stay away from racist people, if you're a foreigner or care about racism!

It's a pretty standard joke in America to make fun of UK teeth (see Austin Powers), so I had some trepidations going into Elite Dental. But I was immediately set at ease by the professionalism that I was met with as soon as I walked into the door. I was setup with an initial consultation, and the dentist took a look at the state of my teeth and let me know what was going on. This is where my first surprise was - no waiting for the X-rays to be developed. Instead what they had was some kind of high tech super X-ray that took the pictures and then immediately digitized them. The dentist then sat there and went over everything she saw that I might need to have looked at. I went back for a cleaning about a month later. This time, the hygienist used some kind of super sonic cleaning device that broke up all the plaque on your teeth. She was even able to take care of my oh-so-local tea stain that had developed on my front tooth. All in all, Elite Dental was as good as anything I could have found in the States and then some. And who says that socialized medicine doesn't work?
