They're a bunch of nice guys, their new place is shaping up to be pretty bad ass, and they clearly know men's hair. My fade from my neck to the top of my head is flawless, they make sure everything is clean around the ears, and they use a straight razor around your neck. What more could you want? We went here at the recommendation of my husbands coworkers. Both of my sons hair was messed up. I went back in once it was dry and I noticed how bad it was. A different person tried to fix them, their hair obviously had to be cut a lot shorter than we had originally wanted, the fronts are still crooked....can't blame them that they couldn't fix the terrible job done by the first person. The guy who tried to fix the woman's mess up seemed like he could do a good job if he was doing the original cut. So I made my husband an appointment with him, specifically. My husband went and didn't even get to see him and the person he saw did a terrible job. He cut maybe a 1/4" off his hair and didn't shape his beard at all. My kids covid cuts I did myself were better than this place did. I highly don't recommend. read more

I brought my 98 year old grandfather in to get a long overdue haircut and shave. My grandfather is a World War II veteran, and a Korean War veteran, proudly wearing his veteran hat wherever he goes. We were greeted right away with a friendly smile, and Toi was able to fit my grandfather in for an appointment. Toi took his time giving my grandfather a proper shave and cut. He remained patient as my grandfather repeated the same things and just truly made my Grampy feel good. Toi shared stories of his family and life experience, and also his gratitude - to a stranger who was in desperate need of some extra love and kindness. When I was ready to pay, Toi refused our payment. He told us he could not accept our money and again thanked my grandfather for his service. An act of kindness like this always goes a long way, but today it was exceptionally kind. My grandfather lost his son, my uncle, just two days ago and has been truly heartbroken since. The last two days have been filled with such pain and emotion for him. I am forever an advocate of supporting small businesses. Our experience at Slick's was very special and I would recommend them 100x over. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Toi for not only making my grandfather's day, but also mine. read more

I kid you not- the entire thing lasted FOUR minutes and the entire time he was talking to a man standing just outside the room. She left very upset with her cut. No fading, VERY choppy. Friendly staff. Kind of a cool biker/hipster/cop hangout vibe, hard to describe. Barbers are meticulous. Shares sane building with tattoo shop and auto garage. The decor is eclectic but the services are old-school, including hot towel shave. Toi did a nice job on my hair, but was a little bit more aggressive with the clippers and I would've preferred. By far best Men's haircut in the area. I have tried them all from $12 haircuts to salons charging $50 a haircut, these guys are the best. Don't need to worry about getting butchered here. Took my two young boys, 3 and 5, for their first barber experience. Jarrod had given both of them their haircuts, and he was extremely patient and professional about it. For dealing with two children, he didn't once try to rush their cut and get them out. Between Jarrod and Adam, this is, by far, the best barber shop I've ever been to. Honestly if your looking for a clean cut Spanish style perfection barber shop DO NOT GOT HERE!!!!!! Wanted a bald skin fade and dude just left hair all around. Didn't go around my ears. Gave me a gentleman fade.... not what I asked for at all... dude fucked my beard up one side is a right angle other side is rounded like it should be. I should have 0 sideburns with a "skin fade" or a " bald fade" you can see my side burns that awkwardly meet my beard which 100% should not be! I could go on and on and on about the line on my right side or how he didn't even put my head back in the head rest( if they even have any) while using the straight blade! Didn't straight blade back of neck. Nothing!!! Place is trash if they hire dudes like this. Last time I will ever go anywhere else then a we'll know Spanish barber shop! Best barber shop I have ever been too. I get a a bald fade with a zero on top not easy too do. I see Shane there who is very gentle and pays very close attention to detail and does what you want to do. They even use a straight edge to get right down to the skin. With a hot towel. They also have a tv with Netflix so I can bring my little one there and the very pleasant receptionist puts on whatever she wants. All of the barbers in there can cut hair so you don't have to worry about who you get. Also very clean and professional . Was told it was going to be 30 minutes, after I had already waited 30 minutes. The reason for the additional wait was so they could take their friends first, who came in after I did. An amazing experience. I've been going to this barber shop since it opened a few years ago. It's truly a treat each, and every time. The Mojo is my style good music, great conversation, and great people. A regular haircut business gets you in, and gets you out. Not at slicks. A haircut, or as I prefer to acknowledge it as a treatment, my barber Toi touches every part of my head from my collar bone up.
