It would be putting it lightly to say he blew the other contractors out of the water. Nearly the moment he stepped foot in our house to see our bathroom project I knew his company was exactly what I was looking for. You can immediately tell that they highly value their customers by the way they communicate with them. Greg responded very quickly to my e-mails, and stayed in constant contact as our project schedule became closer. He was quick to problem solve any issues, and he made us seem like we were his most important customer during our project even though it was a small job. They did an incredibly job with our renovation and their skill was evident, even in the small details of the project. They basically thought of everything. They turned our ugly beige 90's bathroom into a beautiful farm-house inspired piece of art and easily tackled the challenges of our nearly 100 year old house. Most importantly, they are just all around good people with good hearts who do great work. I genuinely enjoyed talking with them, and I think my dog might have wanted to go home with them at the end of the day. We plan on making them our only contractor for our projects, and see them as a valuable resource to our area.

He gave us an estimate based on time and he came in under that amount. We had him install a Revashelf pull down cabinet shelving. We ordered it and paid through Amazon, and the instructions say installation takes 45 minutes. HAHAHAHAHA. There's no way. He measured right the first time, he had the odd shaped tools needed, and most of all, he has the 40+ years of experience working the business with his wife holding down the office. Nearly 4 months to complete, billing errors, and unsatisfactory workmanship - that was my…read moreexperience with New Heights Development, LLC. Initially told the job would take 3-4 weeks. In total, it took 4x longer - 16 weeks. Scheduling was consistently vague, and commitments were unreliable. Extra charges were added to the final invoice for tasks like installing a hood vent and four light fixtures. I was not notified of these additional charges before or during the work, and I only became aware of them upon receiving the final bill. Because this work was completed without prior notice or pricing disclosure, I was not given an opportunity to review the costs or compare prices beforehand. I was charged in full for work that was unsatisfactory, or not completed at all. (See pictures). I was verbally told that I would not be charged full price for certain incomplete work. The final invoice reflected otherwise. Things would be left unfinished for weeks on end. (The old toilet left in the bathroom, shed debris left sitting in the backyard grass). Several items took multiple trips. (Shower surround, door sweep, drywall repair). Some items are still unsatisfactory after multiple attempts. Some of my personal belongings were damaged, for which I received no credit or reimbursement. Contractor noted that they provided work at no charge. Several of those items were either included in the contract or work that was required to repair their work. They added the final payment as a charge to the final invoice. I had to have them correct their billing error. Had I not caught their error - I would have been overcharged. I have not received lien releases, which I requested.

Unfortunately, I have to strongly recommend going with another company…read more I gave them one star because of the lack of support after the projects were completed. I had two projects done by them at the same time. The first was a $70,000 patio cover project that included, among other things, a ceiling fan. The fan stopped working after only a couple of weeks. After several more weeks, they replaced it with an identical model. That replacement fan lasted less than a week before it also failed. At that point, they blamed everything from the light bulbs I used, to the electrician I hired to install the fan, to my home's Wi-Fi interfering with the wireless controls. Two separate electricians verified the wiring was correct. Rather than replacing the fan with a different model or refunding the cost of the fan, the company essentially told me they had "given it a go" and that the problem was now mine to solve. The patio cover also had an issue where the new roofline tied into the home's existing roofline, creating a small waterfall effect during rainstorms. Water would shoot over the gutters and pour underneath the patio cover every time it rained. After one attempted repair, they again told me I would need to resolve the issue myself because they had already "given it a go." Maybe my expectations are too high, but for a $70,000 project, I expect things to function properly. The second project was a cedar fence extension with a large gate. The gate barely closed in dry weather, and whenever it rained and the wood swelled, it would not close at all. The adjustment hardware was already maxed out, and I ultimately had to cut half an inch off the gate myself just to make it usable in wet weather. In conclusion, I genuinely wanted to have a good experience with this company and had planned to hire them for two additional projects. However, based on their unwillingness to properly resolve these issues, I have decided to work with another company -- and I would recommend others do the same.
