Our former housekeeper moved so we recently had Purple Fig come in for an initial cleaning with the hopes of setting up a twice a month or bi-weekly service. We were quoted ~$280 per visit which was higher than our old housekeeper but seemed reasonable enough given they bring multiple people. They claimed the first clean was to bring things up to the "Purple Fig Standard" but when I got home after the cleaning I genuinely had trouble understanding what they did while in my home other than leave a candy cane on our kitchen counter. They don't do any laundry (even bed sheets/towels, not looking for a wash and fold service here) which is frustrating but I can somewhat understand given the time a laundry cycle takes. The most egregious offense was that they apparently also dont do any dishes . Again, i'm not asking for a post-Thanksgiving dinner cleanup here but we had a few pans and plates from last nights dinner in the sink and they didn't touch them. Overall, my wife and I struggled to understand what they really did to clean our home. When we decided not to continue with the bi-weekly service they then retroactively charged us $470 for the initial clean. For the price they charge not doing laundry or even tidying up the kitchen when there are a few dishes in the sink doesn't feel worth it. The best part of a cleaning service is coming home to a clean house that you can see and feel as soon as you walk through the door. With Purple Fig, I walked in to a house that felt like the cleaning service had to reschedule for another day

I was super impressed with how easy the onboarding process was - communication was fast, detalled, and I knew exactly what to expect the day of the cleaning. I loved that I received an alert when the team was on the way and their approximate arrival time - so helpful! Since I work from home, the team asked very considerate questions about which rooms to clean first, what would be the most convenient / least disruptive for me, etc. They were efficient, detailed, and I was blown away by the quality of the clean. And the best part - my home smelled AMAZING. I don't know what type of magic they infuse into their eco-friendly cleaning products, but I would like to buy it in bulk please! :).

They came and did a deep clean that included a special, 10% off and a free fridge clean (inside). Two cleaners came and when we returned home two hours later the place was impeccable! Shining bright, extremely clean, and smelling fantastic!!!! They were even able to get the shower grout back to looking new. I think the pricing is extremely reasonable (even the rate before the special) because two women came in here and busted a## to make our apartment sparkle. The little touches made it even better (making the bed, folding bath linens like a fancy hotel, etc.) Communication went above and beyond. I tried to contact them via their website, but received no reply. Since this seemed like it could be a technical issue (the website seemed a little buggy), I tried requesting an estimate, but didn't get a reply when I did that either. It is entirely possible if you *do* manage to get a response from them, they do a good job (but if you are reading a Yelp review, you probably aren't an existing client). However, my experience is most businesses become *less* not *more* responsive once you're a customer, so not being able to get a response is kind of a dealbreaker.
