Do your own research and you'll be very disappointed with service other businesses will give you. No matter where you go if you choose to complain, you are going to be disappointed. Today I donated my 10 year old Snapper 30" riding mower to Small Engine and recycling and repair as it was time to purchase a new mower. Very unfriendly manager who did not help me unload the mower from the trailer. I asked for a receipt for my income taxes for this year and John refused to give me a receipt. His answer was he didn't need to give me a receipt. Maybe he wasn't responsible enough to give me a receipt. I just found the owner was not helpful and rude. I will never again darken his doorstep. read more

I wish I would have have seen some of these reviews before I made the mistake of dropping off my weed eater for them to put a new head on (which I purchased and brought in). Dropped it off on a Friday around noon and was told it would be ready in a day or two. I called on a Wed as I had not heard from them and the same guy I dropped it off with is the person who answered the phone. He very rudely asked if I had checked my VM and I said, 'Yes, I have' and he said 'Well then you should have heard my message I left.' I assured him I did not miss a VM nor did I miss a call from his number and he talked over me and told me it was ready. My wife stopped by to pick it up the next day and waited 10 minutes in the front before the same guy showed up. He was very rude to her told her she must not have read the sign and they were closed. He was out getting lunch. Overall horrible experience and I will never go back there and would never recommend this business to anyone. I am not sure if it was the owner but based on some of the reviews and my experience I have to believe it was. Took my mower in for a tuning and to fix the self-propelled. On arriving home and just starting the mower it still had issues with the self-propelled. After I brought it back in they serviced it, working normally but they claimed it happened after their service. I had just started it, had not mowed at all. They clearly do not do a full inspection of their work before calling it done. I highly recommend testing the mower prior to taking it out of their sight otherwise they will say you messed it up instead of standing behind their work. Their customer service was terrible, they have a customer is always wrong mentality and handled the situation poorly. If they had owned up to their mistake and fixed it on their own I would've considered continuing to use them but being treated like shit means I'll go anywhere but there in the future. read more

I would never do business again with a business as disreputable as Small Engine Recycling and Repair. Do not consider using this company. I took my power equipment in for repair. I received a call several days later saying they had a fire at their store and my equipment was destroyed. OK, stuff happens and they said they would take care of filing the insurance claim. I needed my equipment so purchased a new unit from a different dealer since these guys were essentially out of business. Imagine my surprise when one month later these jokers called me to say they repaired my equipment it was ready to pick up. On the phone, I asked what happened, was given a lame answer, then handed off to speak to the owner of the business. I let the owner know I was surprised they fixed the machine without my permission since I was told it was destroyed in the fire. The older told me I could go "fornicate" myself and if I did not want my machine, he would toss it in the trash. When I came in to pick up my machine, these idiots did not even bother to clean it up after the fire; it was covered in soot and smelled like the fire itself. They told me my machine was destroyed, then they fixed it without my permission and did not bother to clean it after the fire. Can you say unprofessional and terrible? Never again will I work with a business like this one. read more

Happy with their service. Sharpen my lawn mower blade once a year and tune it up at the end of each season. My expenses are under $100/ year and my mower runs great. It's also affordable to buy mixed fuel (2-cycle) for my weed wacker. All in all, they meet my expectations. I will say that it's best to get that mower tune up well before their peak season in spring, because there might be a lengthy delay. read more

As others have commented, this company has a small engine small brain problem. If you're looking for help or good service this is not your place. As the owner said "LOYALTY HAS NO VALUE TO ME". I dropped something off to get a minor repair and I was given a cost range of of a minimum for $80 to $400. I asked for them to call me when they knew what the issue was and cost to repair and they refused. How is someone supposed to commit to paying twice the amount of the original purchase price. The competition fixed the problem $30! I was a customer for 7 years before today and never felt appreciated in those years, but didn't take the time to find a place that thanked me for my business. read more

I have an EGO mower purchased in 2018. It is registered and under warranty by EGO. Opened a case with EGO. I took my mower, warranty registration and case number to this shop. They insisted that they needed my original receipt to look at it. Asked them to call EGO (they need to do this anyway to approve warranty work). They refused. No customer service... Had to call EGO and get a new repair shop assigned. This shop is waste of time read more

I had a Snapper snow blower with a broken bearing. The bearing is no longer made, so several places just wanted to sell me a new snowblower, and toss this perfectly good snowblower. The guys at Small Engine Recycling and Repair looked at the bearing and figured out how I could combine two other bearings to create a new bearing that would work !!! Thanks for coming up with the innovative solution to my problem with the broken snow blower auger bearing on the Snapper snow blower. I had my snow blower picked up for a tune up and fix the starter that had been broken and was not attached, They refused to provide a receipt (not how they run their business), and was told it would be 6-8 weeks. It was returned to me in 7 weeks (good), but nothing was done, it was not even cleaned. My starter is still broken, and now I need to find another company to repair the snow blower. Do not go there for repairs, they can't be trusted. read more

Amazing customer service! We've taken our mower there for maintenance a couple of times and yesterday I brought it in for a broken wheel. I didn't even have to take it out of my car! He replaced the tire on the spot and I was on my way in 5 mins! Very reasonable prices. I won't take our mower anywhere else! read more
