They came to my work and repaired my bumper as good as new the cost was great they were £200 cheaper than the local bodyshop had quoted and the job was done within a few hours. Many thanks to Alex for his help and advice would be delighted to recommend Alex and Sprayaway to friends family and collegues.

I came across this garage on groupon where they had a service and mot package at a really reasonable price. It did cross my mind that maybe it was too good to be true but off i went. I dropped the car off and headed into town. The garage is ideally located for buses either into town or to the fort but on this day i was meeting a friend for lunch. After a few hrs i got a call to say my car had failed its mot and my heart sank... expecting to be hit with a bill of hundreds i was told that it failed on the same thing as last year only the other side. I had used a different garage last year and was quoted roughly the same price. I later found out that the fail was very common with my type of car. I was quite happy to pay and headed back to collect the car. I wasnt sure if they took card payments so i tool cash. Overall i was pleasently surprised and i would have no hesitation in using this garage again.

I chose Best Fit based on reviews I saw on Google, it's also 2 mins away from me so that was a plus. My MOT was booked for 9am and I got my car back at 3pm after some repairs. The person I dealt with was really nice and friendly. I also found him really trustworthy. They phoned me to tell me my car required a repair to pass my MOT and asked if they could carry it out and outlined the costs over the phone. The price of the MOT was only £19.95 which was great and I wasn't charged extra for the retest. In other garages I have been charged for "labour" and I didn't see this on my receipt. It was possible that the repair cost included this however I defintely didn't feel robbed. I highly recommend Best Fit as it's run by nice friendly people and the cost for an MOT was so good!

I'm not sure how you change a business name on here, but I'll have a go once this review is up…read more Please note that Shields Landrover at this address is now *Taggarts*. However, this does not mean that their customer service has slipped to the level of Taggarts in Motherwell... After several horrific experiences with multiple branches of Arnold Clark over the years (a business we won't even touch to get a spare windscreen wiper fitted in future, regardless a new car), we looked at Land Rover as an option and Shields as a dealer. Eye-opening. It's wonderful to discover in this day and monopolised age of car dealers that there is still at least one company out their that's not trying to rip you off and treat you like dirt the moment they have your cash (*cough*Arnold Clark*cough*). The salesman we dealt with was obviously hugely happy to be working for Taggert (and has been with them since they were Shields) and was nothing but honest through all our dealings. We got the best trade-in for our previous vehicle that we'd been offered anywhere, a hefty discount on the car after haggling, and he went out of his way to ensure we got delivery on a day that suited us just before a long family trip. After-sales care has been a similar joy. Not just "satisfactory", but "superb". Pleasant. Enjoyable. And full of nice surprises, like European breakdown cover included for life - as are MOTs. We honestly can't fault the buying experience or anything that's followed. Thanks you Taggarts (Glasgow) for restoring out faith in car retailers!

Some relevant facts:…read more - I hate dealing with servicing my car - I don't drive a merc - I am very lazy Mainly Mercs is where I've used a couple of times to get my car serviced/MOT and I've got to say, I'm very impressed with the service/cost. I tend to leave anything to do with my car for way too long and never get it serviced when I'm meant to which meant this time, there was quite a lot to get done to my car to get it MOT-worthy. The only real complaint I have about this place is the "road" it's on - it's more like a single-lane dirt track and you better be careful of cars coming the other way and potholes. All up though, the service here is great and the staff are really friendly and helpful.
2 reviews 11 hours ago-Edit…read moreVisited the garage on the 2/12/18 to get a puncture repair, tyre had a temporary plug fitted. Waited at the reception desk. The person who was doing the puncture asked me to go with him to the workshop area. Shows me the tyre and states, is that TURNBULLS work when he saw the plug fitted. I said no, i fitted the plug 6 months prior. He runs his fingers through loose rubber shavings and states the car has been running on its rim and the tyre is dangerous so cant fit a plug. I know the loose shavings came from me when i was repairing the tyre with a plug. The hole has to be roughened up prior to inserting the plug.. I had informed another member of staff to tell the guy working on the tyre (cant call him a fitter) to put 33 pounds pressure in the tyre. I had also said to Andrew (the owner) that i cant run a tyre flat, sensors warn me when pressure drops. When i started to reverse the rear left tyre warning light was on. The car can also tell me tyre pressures. front left which he had checked for leak also had 38 lbs a square inch, rear left had 26 lbs a square inch, not 33lbs as requested. The work and diagnostics was so sub standard that when i got home i blew a tyre up myself and deflated the other as the pressure was over excessive and checked all wheel nuts. Overexcessive pressure can cause an accident when cornering as theres less rubber on the road surface.Incidently i thought i would like to mention that i have worked as a mechanic most of my life and also done mots and furthermore my car only two day prior had just had its mot which passed. Can only assume there trying to sell extra tyres before xmas. My tyre which was only half worn could have been sold of as a part worn tyre which is a win win, well for them anyway, not me.. Felt it was a fairer business when Andrews father had it in the old place. DEFINATELY a bad experience for me. I will repair the tyre myself, another plug should do it. With tyre pressure being to high on the front left made the car dangerous when i left the garage. If the rear tyre was much less than it was (26 lbs) it could have come away from the rim when cornering. How hard is it to blow a tyre up to the correct pressure? UPDATE!--have checked front left tyre and at the plug repair , using a little water located small leak at plug (bubbles). Fitted another plug alongside and rechecked, leak stopped! on rear found a screw nail in tyre, removed screw with pliers and inserted plug, tested with water, no problem, all leaks repaired and pressure maintained. Would advise drivers to purchase a plug repair kit from e bay and a small electric pump from Home Bargains for a fiver and your independant.Majority of repairs can be done with the wheel on the car. Repairing a puncture is not a difficult job (well for most people). Abbotsinch would rather sell you a new tyre. Larger premises equates more rent to pay so sales staff must push tyre sales to generate the extra cash needed for the extra rent. If your female dont think about it. They will look at you as an easy target. Dont be tempted to get the tracking done either (another gimmick) 4x4 s climb mountains and dont require tracking reset. With reference to Jack Austins negative review whom i do not know i would like to point out that his review was inserted because he survived the accident. Dead people dont write reviews!
