I was allowed to watch on a big screen as Dr. Harper examined my teeth on my first visit! It sounded scary to see up close, but it was really neat! He is the most gentle dentist, and thoughtful. He doesn't hurt you at all. Other dentists have shamed me for crying, even yelled at me as a kid. He fixed a temp tooth sitting on an implant that an Oral Surgeon put on too tight. It was put in so badly by the other doctor, it broke and loosened the real tooth next to it. Dr. Harper recemented it and shaved it down to fit properly no charge, after my cleaning. The hygenist is really nice, and patient as well. People who are afraid of the dentist should def. go here. Everyone from front desk, to the back team are friendly and make you feel welcome, when other dentists treat you like you don't know your own mouth, or that you're an annoyance for being afraid. They completely understand at OcalaSmiles. I drink a lot of soda, like lots of people, and every office I've been to it's "Just stop drinking soda all together"... and left it at that. Of course, I love my soda and didn't stop. By the time I found Dr. Harper, the soda had done damage. Instead of shaming me, or trying to browbeat me into quitting soda, I was given an explanation of HOW soda works and work arounds to prevent more issues. Now, I drink my soda through a straw and swish with water many times a day after having a pop. I know it's not the best way, but the improvement in my mouth health has never been this good since I started swishing all that sugar out of my mouth. They treat you like a real person, and they listen. When I gave them my nitrous number, they said "Ok, let's try it and see how it goes." They made me feel SO comfortable, that I didn't want as much nitrous on my second visit. I'll NEVER be a patient elsewhere. After avoiding the dentist for a decade, Dr. Harper has changed that.

In my early sixties I had a terrible experience with a tooth extraction at a "clinic" that was part of a chain. It took three visits to get the tooth removed and I was unable to be numbed completely. I was so traumatized I didn't want to get my teeth cleaned for fear of getting in the dentist chair again. I got up my nerve and started asking about dentist recommendation and Dr. Harper's name came up often. Dr. Harper was recommended to me by a woman I worked out with at the gym. She also had fear of going to the dentist until she started going to Dr. Harper. I have been going to Dr. Harper for many years now. He has filled teeth, put on crowns and referred me out when I had root canals and needed a tooth implant. I now have no fear of the dentist. Dr. Harper is kind, respectful and skillful to the point of having an artist for my teeth! Recently I decided to get veneers since my teeth were thin and grey looking from age. The process was not difficult. I had very little sensitivity during the temp stage and once the final product was placed there was no sensitivity. The entire staff at Dr. Harpers are warm, friendly and out for your best interest just like Dr. Harper. I wish there was a 10 star category because that is what I give Dr. Harper!!

She hung up on me--twice. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and dismissive. After paying $4,500, this is unacceptable. That woman should not be dealing with patients. She should be fired for her inappropriate and disrespectful behavior. To hang up on someone because they are seeking help with their 80 year old mother proves her uneducated, unprofessional and unacceptable manner. She was awful. I had my consultation and xrays, so they could better address the next steps. I said i need this tooth out it is killing me and they had me back in 72 hours later. when i walked in they greeted me by name and no sooner than me sitting in the lobby, cause i 30 mins early, they had me in the chair prepped and ready. The dentist was friendly and gave a true air of concern for me. I was numbed up at least 6 times and never not once did i ever feel the needle. My teeth are primitive and so "rooted" deeply into my jawline, that it took twice as long as normal to get the job done. The thing was, I felt like it didnt matter, I know I was holding him up from getting to others. But he made me feel like I was his only patient and that it really was about doing it right, not doing it rushed. I know, just in how I was treated , that if ever I need dental service, they will be the place I will go.

The level of care shown to me after an extraction was nothing short of incredible. Dr. Amir took the time from his own personal schedule to text me and see how I was doing days after the procedure. He even went so far as facetiming me to show me a few facial massages to help alleviate any lingering pains. His team is also very compassionate and friendly. BEST DENTIST EVER.

I sat down with a tech who told me she could do the checkered design (pictured) and was comfortable. She helped me pick the two colors and got started. During the filing process she made my cuticles bleed on three fingers. She did apologize, but the appointment only got more uncomfortable from there. When she pulled out the plastic tips to put on my nails for the set, she made a comment that my nails are too small and that she would have to trim down the tips. She then took small scissors and cut both sides of the plastic tip off and glued them onto my nails. There was no curve to them, they were very rectangular. She attempted the design twice before insisting it did not look good and told me that I needed to choose a new color. I told her I liked the design, she told me she felt it was not pronounced enough and insisted we use black. I told her that I didn't like black, it was just too dark for me but after her persistence I agreed to try it. She created the look with the black in place and then outlined in white. I thought it looked nice and was not upset at all about it afterward. When washing my hands at home after the visit I realized that all of the nails were very jumpy and had bubbles in them. My pinkie on my left hand was completely warped and basically flat because of the way she trimmed the tip. I had no time to go back and after that experience I truly didn't want to. I ended up going to another salon, which looked at my nails and before I could even tell them what happened, they told me that the nails I had needed total reforming and fixing before I could get a fill. When I told them what was done, they were in total shock. This could have been a fluke, maybe she was new or overwhelmed but I will not be returning.

The nails speak for themselves. 11/10!

This was their #2 pedicure. She did one clear, 2 color and then 2 clear!

When we were all done the 3 of us all agreed that we had great pedicures. The salon was clean, neat, organized with great massage chairs and modern clean equipment.
