(will cross post on Yelp, Google, & NextDoor) July 11, 2024 - diagnose, tune and/or repair a 2 year old two car garage door on the house I just bought a few months ago. VERY VERY noisy. Actually have never owned in my three houses in PA, NY and now FL since 1992 a noisier and "sicker" sounding door. Found Veterans Garage Door on Nextdoor and clicked into their site and sent a contact form. Quickly got a text message and then I responded with the location and situation. The next day a VERY professional and pleasant. We negotiated a few available dates and actually had them nearby in the next two days!!! Made a 4 hour window appointment and I joked that I hope not like Xfinity or maybe Verizon. Was assured NOT going to happen! 15 minutes before the appointment window the men called and said they are enroute!! BAM! 12:15 PM pulled up to the driveway!!!! Had a grand chat about the house, the new door, etc etc. They troubleshot and tuned the "screaming" whining door......... charged me for a simple tune up!!!! Really professional and fantastic guys!! Of course the skill and workmanship were obvious. A few misaligned hinges/wheels and lots of binding panels etc etc. (no stickers from who installed it probably to protect the 'perpetrators') The door is about a 9 out of 10 improvement. I had them install new garage door openers in Aug. [[HIGHLIGHT]]two months later I called for same day service because the door had come off the rollers because of an accident with a ladder.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The answer I got was that they could not come out until monday, leaving me with no way to close up the door for the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called another company in Bradenton who came out within an hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]so I called early in the morning about my garage door open button, and by 12pm the guy was on his way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was polite, kind, knew exactly what needed to be done, he didn't try to sell me anything, he just said he was going to try a couple of things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted Veterans Garage when i couldnt program my remote or keypad . They responded right away and scheduled for New Years Day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I said its not an emergency and they said its ok. We dont charge emergency rates.. Just regular rate. He arrived yesterday within the time frame given ( 10-2) and an hour and a half later i had a new garage opener system. The oroginal opener was 20 years old and they dont make them anymore so repair was not an option. He did a fantastic job.. New sensors, new wall button, new track, new keypad and a new remote. Programmed everything for me. And its super quiet... Price was very reasonable for the work he did. In addition to the warranty that came with the new opener, Veterans has their own warranty... Went for the tune-up special as we were having issues with the opener and ended up with new opener. No hard sell and Mike explained and showed us in detail why we were getting poor performance on our 17 yr old opener.
