Will not use Precision ever again. I have used them a couple of times in the past. I always felt they over charge. Today one of my garage door springs broke. The tech was very nice and courteous. However, they charged $1,200 to replace two springs and the tech was at my residence for less than one hour. Also, they state three year warranty when quoting price. However, when you get the invoice emailed to you it states three year warranty includes parts ONLY and does not include service call or minimum labor. I felt ripped off and will utilize a more local and non franchise business from now on. read more

You charge me to program a garage door. The same day after your technician left, it stopped working. Gaetano, the owner called me over the phone to walk me through the reprogramming it myself (still paid full price) The programming lasted a few weeks. I called them again. They sent another tech to my house to reprogram the garage door, charge me full price again. Then the repair broke the same day! They then told that it was a manufacturer's problem. I am extremely disappointed with the service from Precision. I have never felt so uncomfortable dealing with overcharged invoice discrepancies. I made an appointment to get a quote for a garage door tune-up. After the tech completed his assessment, I was given only a verbal quote for several recommended services. No written estimate was provided before the work began. I agreed to some additional services, and the work began. At the completion of the project, I was presented with the iPad invoice to sign, and the total was noticeably higher than what had been discussed and agreed upon. Although some charges were then removed after I questioned them, I also noticed that additional fees were added because the original quote was based on a smaller garage door and did not include extra rollers. The fact that the tech did not clearly notice what size my garage door was prior to the work being performed seems very unsettling, to put it kindly. Although it could have been an honest mistake, I feel this was not professional at all. At that point, I felt uncomfortable continuing to dispute the charges. Transparency and clear written estimates should be standard practice. Immediately after the service, I received an email stating that if I was not fully satisfied, I should contact the General Manager, Gaetano Castiglione, to allow the company the opportunity to address the issue. I have reached out twice over the past week, and have not received a response. The lack of a written estimate, invoice discrepancies, and no follow-up from management reflect very poor communication and customer service. My old Genie Screw drive had broken again - the coupler nut had rounded itself and would not move the door. Called Precision Garage Door that evening and the next morning at 8am the service tech was there. After a discussion on the age and expected reliability remaining on a 20 year old Genie, I opted for a new Liftmaster Door Motor and chain drive assembly to be installed. Precision Garage Door has been a great service for us. However, when one of our door openers failed we were unable to simply buy a new one ourselves and program it. Which was attempted to no avail. Their office told me that the tech is proprietary. So, any new opener required must be purchased from them. Which after service fees is in the area of $300. Disappointing news for sure. read more
