However, the last interactions I have had with this company are beyond explanation. 1. During our home build we discovered we overpaid Boulder Mountain approximately $300. I notified the company as soon I discovered the issue and they have not responded to our request for a refund. They have not even let us know they will look into it. They simply have ignored the email. At the end of 30 days we will be notifying DOPL, DCP, and taking legal action. To not respond to a customer concern is unprofessional. To keep money they did not earn is unethical and unjust enrichment. 2. Boulder Mountain gave me a bid in November 2020 to perform rock wall work for $3,400 with a commitment to start in the spring. April 2nd I contacted Don as he requested to get us on the schedule to perform the work. Don replies, "Ok. I'll be ready the first of may. Let [t]ouch base on a few weeks". May 4th I again reach out. Don replies and states prices have gone up. He comes out, remeasures, and says, "it won't be much more" to do the work. He sends a bid which is more than 2.75 times more than the agreed upon price: $7,759.10. I try to understand what just happened because he does not state he miscalculated, says rock rose 40%, fuel increased 75 cents, and rental equipment went up 20%. The math doesn't work out so I ask again. He then falsely states it is impossible to get the rental equipment. I reply that I called two locations and both had the equipment he needed and that we needed to talk. On the phone Don tells me he simply doesn't want to do the job. So, he made excuses, told me he couldn't get the equipment, jacked up the price, all in an effort to discourage me from using him. He also told me that he didn't like my job because it was too difficult to work in my back yard and he could make more money faster on easier jobs. He said that despite our agreement in Nov, and confirmations in April/May, that he would not be coming back. I remind him that we spent tens of thousands of dollars with his company and he mocked me. I then told him how disappointed I was that he would use these slimy tactics and his only response was that he was not proud of it. Don has preached to me for years that he is not the type of contractor that would breach a contract, leave someone in a bind by abandoning a project, price gouge, deceive, or be unethical in his work. In this latest experience he did all of these things including keeping money that did not belong to him nor earn. Where I once highly recommended Boulder Mountain Rock Walls, I no longer do so. This company is just another company looking to make a financial windfall during difficult economic times for people. I suggest you avoid. During our home build I dealt with many contractors who acted like this, who ultimately buried us financially, and frankly I'm sick of it. I expect businesses to be professional, ethical, and honest.

I came into this project having been burned by a competitor so I was a bit cynical. Before we even…read morestarted talking about estimates or the job itself the sales person had gotten in touch with my insurance company and started a claim. This is something I didn't even think to do! Even without the insurance payout, their quote was about half the cost of the other company. Once it came time to do the work, I was in constant communication with the foreman. The guys tore off the old roof in a day and put up the new in a second day. The following morning the dumpster was gone. Again, by starting an insurance claim they put money in my pocket before they even knew if I would be a customer! I'm generally nervous about home renovations because I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this sort of thing. I believe the competitor tried to take advantage of my ignorance. They ordered the concrete trucks that arrived on time every day. The work, the timing, the professionalism and the price was reasonable compared to other bids I've received. They put the joints in all the right places... You wouldn't believe how awful other concrete work I've seen looked including mine. They also made fence post holes that I asked for look too great to not talk about.

Demo and re-pour of a basic cement driveway…read more This was a friend of a friend referral and sadly, it did not go well. It cost over 10k since my city had to pay for it. They put in a slipe on my previously flat driveway. This was the 3rd time it had to be redone. We asked all the pertinent questions and were taken over by the SL Country Club to see a stamped driveway that looked good. Though it was nowhere near my area. That gave me pause. Next, I was told there had to be a drain and it would not ever be a problem because the water eould go out west through the drain instead of flooding my garage. We let him go to it. He did do an extra spot, so all good. Turns out, the entire driveway isn't on a tilt. Everything flows to the drain. Even places that were not flood I no amd we had no trouble with are now on a grade. I had a patio, open air, but 9t now has too much of a grade to exist. I had to remove it. I also have had numerous knee surgeries and it is difficult to navigate all the slopes. We weren't told it would be everything, or as extreme, especially in unneeded areas. But, we didn't have a choice by then. We sealed the driveway, as told, and shortly after it was poured we got a full slab Crack. We called and were told, no guarantee on that so, oh well. The driveway was flaking after the 1st winter and by the second, it had chunks coming out where the seams were. The sides have a 2 in ch drop because they didn't level it. I would absolutely not use them again. I have money to repair all of the damage​​, so I am left with a crumbling driveway. It looks awful. I took photos after that 2nd winter for documentation of how bad it was. Oh, and that no problem drain? It fills with silt, leaves, and ices over in the winter which is exactly what I said I was worried it would do. It also does mot carry the water load in the hard rain so my garage still floods. ​

We found Clint and hired him to gut our master bathroom. We had an old tub and small stand up shower. We always had wanted a his/her shower. Clint created a master piece for us. Those are the gray bathroom pictures uploaded. They did such a fantastic job that we hired him again to remodel our guest bathroom. Those are the pictures of the brown bath below. We also had Clint and his team gut this bathroom too. We chose tile for the shower and floor and bought a new vanity as well as other accessories. We also hired Clint and CHV to put a ceiling up in our downstairs so the rain from the upper deck would not get all our outdoor furniture wet and so we can use the downstairs all year long. They did a fabulous job. He is also going to put a railing in for our rock stairs and is going to pour a concrete slab for us. Clint we are not done with you yet!!! :-) Next year will be our kitchen. Clint will always be our go-to contractor. I highly recommend Clint and CHV Construction for any job you may have. They are versatile in all types of construction needs. They are respectful, kind, detail-oriented, clean up after each day and cost efficient. Clint will actually let you know if he was paid too much as well as if he comes in lower than the free quote he initially provided.
