The quality of care from the hygienists and convenient location have kept me here but I miss Dr. Greg and Dr. Sal and the practice it used to be. My partner had a filling/cap come out on a Friday night -- the second time this had happened. He called first thing Monday morning and explained that the tooth was extremely sensitive and that he was having difficulty eating. The receptionist told him they could squeeze him in on Tuesday, so he waited for that appointment rather than immediately seeking care elsewhere. Then, only two hours before his scheduled appointment on Tuesday, the office called to tell him that the doctor was completely booked and could no longer see him. Their solution was to offer him an appointment in the middle of the following week. That level of patient care is completely unacceptable to me. This was not a routine cleaning or something that could comfortably wait another week. His tooth was exposed, extremely sensitive, and painful enough that eating was difficult. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of concern, understanding, or effort to accommodate him after they were the ones who had already scheduled the appointment. He ultimately decided to switch dentists. His new dentist got him in and had the problem fixed within about 20 minutes. It is incredibly disappointing that a longtime dental office could not find a way to address a patient with an urgent issue -- particularly when the restoration had already failed twice. The last-minute cancellation, lack of urgency, and overall dismissive treatment of a patient in discomfort were awful. We expected much better care and basic consideration from a dental practice. After this experience, he will not be returning, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a responsive, accommodating dental office.

Several dentists say I'm the funniest person they'd ever met (this is not bragging, it's a pitiful confession) until they notice I've been in the chair for hours. But with Dr. Monteiro I didn't say one funny - she was quick, professional yet friendly, painless, took time to tell me what she was doing before she did it, and used lots of cool, state-if-the-art instruments. She and her dental assistant seem to almost read each other's thoughts and things get passed back and forth while I caught up on the "Help I Wrecked My House" show. I didn't leave em' laughing, but I exited with a smile.

MONEY HUNGRY PRACTICE! DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT!…read more I specifically did my research & found a provider who participated in my insurance. I proactively sent my most recent dental x-rays over prior to my appointment, although the appointment I booked was for my annual dental cleaning. At the time of my appointment I was handed forms to fill out, one of them being a "$35 Oral Cancer Screening". During my appointment the Dentist looked over my recent x-rays and proceeded to order a full mouth set of x-rays. One would think a professional practice would check with a patient's insurance carrier to see if a complete imaging procedure would be covered or confirm whether the insurance carrier will allow it for the 2026 year- NOPE. The dental assistant who performed my cleaning then asked if I'd be interested in the oral cancer screening (you'd think this would be covered under a routine dental screening- not according to this practice.) They push it as if it's their monthly special. After my appointment I headed to the front desk where the receptionist quoted me $226.40 for a treatment plan. In the treatment plan the total fee equated to $680. The "estimated insurance coverage" was $453.60. I spoke with my insurance carrier after the visit to confirm coverage. 80% of each treatment code listed would be covered and I would be responsible for paying the remaining 20%. One code was not covered in its entirety but the office did not inform me- instead I was merely handed a treatment plan with an expectation that I would pay $226.40. Fast forward to a month or so later- I received a bill from Lighthouse Dental in the amount of $310, for what you may ask? The panoramic x-rays that were done without checking my insurance coverage. I received a call from Lighthouse Dental and I asked the receptionist "if I provided my most recent x-rays prior to my visit why were additional x-rays done?" She replied "all new patients need full x-rays." I questioned why the practice didn't check my insurance coverage or contact my previous Dentist for my last full x-rays if it was needed. She then said "well on the bright side you won't have to get it done again for 5 years" EXCUSE ME? To top it off, after speaking with the receptionist I asked to speak with an office manager- who took two weeks to return my call. I refuse to pay $310 due to Lighthouse Dental's negligence. The carelessness of this practice is appalling.

My great insurance covered orthodontic work, so I thought why not get this done! The treatment basically pulled all of my teeth backward, my bite feeling locked, and left me grinding my teeth into one another. I definitely regret this treatment! Then, I has crown done. As I ate, the pressure of the crown which was obv too far backward, popped out the gold inlay of the molar behind it. Obv the crown was not the right size! So, I am left with thousands of dollars of corrective dental work. When I went there, I had great insurance, so they had no problem doing this work. Now, without insurance, I am stuck. Beware!
