Best children's boutique EVER!…read more This adorable shop is a dream come true. I was looking for a few special things for an as-yet to be born grandchild and found way more than a few things! Not only has the owner brought in locally made pieces (think hand knit sweaters and smocked dresses), but she also carries fabulous children's designers I hadn't seen anywhere else. Beth (the owner) kindly indulged me in my grandmother fantasy, and happily introduced me to some of the great books and games she carries, too. I left with a "Letters to my Grandchild" book - the first of many purchases to come, I'm sure.

She also features clothing made by local seamstresses and knitters. I appreciate being able to support local artisans in this way. For a recent family wedding, she arranged for a seamstress to prepare a bowtie with fabric she helped me select--very generous with her advice and experience! She also has a generous return policy for items that do not work out for whatever reason--unusual for a small business. With so much on line shopping, we are fortunate to have this small shop with a beautiful selection and great service.

After a conversation about the place to a friend who shops here regularly, I came to learn just how close it actually was to Philly, and that I pass by the area fairly often. Adorable evil eye bag, embellished denim jackets, rock tees, and small simple necklaces were my favorite items in there. The childrens' section which is attached, but a different room, is such a great place not only for special items for your own child, but for awesome gifts for any child, boys included! Dori Creation leggings, Rowdy Sprouts, tie dye and bling goods were my favorite pieces for kiddos. Grateful Dead and other hippie shirts too! Some trendy toys, fun duffle and cool bags, headbands, even personalized camp swag. Items even for those picky to cool for school tweens! I wasn't too proud to shop the sale rack and bin and even found some cute goods there too! Cheap! Like $10 ana half price! Customer service I found to be wonderful! My niece happens to rep one of the lines and to see it there I was so proud! Allison is never pushy and often times I just walk in before I get my Grandson from school to just look around. She shows me the sales in addition to the other clothing. She knows the exact sizing as I tell her each of my Grandchildren's sizes. I never feel as if I have to purchase anything. The staff in the store are the rudest people that I have ever met. After making a purchase today, the woman took the bag of my clothing, leaned over the counter and dropped it on the floor. To me, the store's inventory was on par with what I'd buy from the Goodwill, which isn't to say it was of poor quality, just that the items were basic pieces at a higher price point than Goodwill. There also weren't any price tags on the items, though the staff person there was friendly and gave us the prices. She seemed like she may even work with you on a lower price if you ask. I would pass through again, but probably only if I'm on this end of town.

After stopping in there a few days ago cause I loved a tee in the window, I saw that it hasn't changed much- the jewerly is still silver. The clothing is artsy and embroidered. Frida Kahlo images are silkcreened on totes. Frankly, there just isn't that much in there. It doesn't have a whole lot of much else- sunglasses maybe. Inexpensive espedrilla like shoes. Candles. Cards. I was bored.Or maybe I'm just too old for the place.
