Today, I went for a teeth cleaning. Asked before the appt if it was just a cleaning cause I had to drop my dementia husband off for an appt! So when I arrived front desk personnel asked for $243. I asked "for a cleaning"? The same personnel that I asked the day before told me it was cleaning and x rays and evaluation I paid for it, cleaning was done, and I waited, and waited and waited, then nothing. The provider did not come after 20-30minutes. Then i received a text from my husband that he was ready to be picked up! I left ! I felt like it was total disregard for my time as I told the front desk I was only here for the cleaning time frame(as they assured me the day before) and had to pick my husband up!

I was informed we could make an appointment for my children at the same time, using two different doctors. This appointment was for the following month but once I gave my group number, I was told they didn't take my HMO. I then called my dental insurance company to confirm the office and they proceeded with a 3 way call to inquire the miscommunication. We spoke with Kaitlin (maybe Katelyn for spelling purposes) the office manager who said I, as the client had been a "no show" in the past. I and my children have never visited that office before but felt that because I previously had Medicaid and visited a local dental office, they had one my children's information. She then continued to say that they had a roster for future appointments that didn't have room to accommodate new patients due to only having one dental doctor. I informed this manager that I never visited their office and she continued to argue with me. I politely stated, "thank you for your time but I will find business elsewhere." That is when she hung up on me and my insurance agent. This business is disorganized, lacks communication and clearly has an office manager who dislikes her job and potential patients. When I first walked in the doctor and the reseptionist were sitting in complete darkness in the entire building. The doctor walked to the back for what I thought was prepping for my appointment while I filled out the new patient paperwork. He then sat me on a chair in the back of the building where it was completely dusty and tools and machines and mixing bowls and all sorts of dental items literally everywhere all over the counter. The tool tray that holds that sharp tools that are supposed to be sanitized (which he pulled out completely brown bag that weren't sealed anymore and looked like the bags and felt like they were 20 years old) everything was covered in dust. He wasn't wearing gloves at all or when he shoved the X-rays films in my mouth which he also hand washed in front of me, he kept wiping his hands on his clothes and then touching things. When I asked him if he was cleaning me in the chair that he took the X-rays in that was missing tools, had tools that were not cleaned or covered properly, and had dust on them... he replied why wouldn't I? And I said you're not touching me, this is completely unsanitary. They both tried to argue with me and say that everything was onclaved and sanitary up to TDLR and the receptionist tried to be smirky with me like I was dumb and she was laughing at the fact that I called literally everything out. If I would have stayed, and let him touch my mouth.... I definitely would end up with an infection. I walked out, I never have had to walk out of a dr. Office before either. Anyone can walk in there and see how disgusting and insanitary this office is and probably why he was sitting in the completely dark office.. he has no patients because he's not following protocols and guidelines. I also reported this office to the TDLR and insurance group that I found them through, no one should risk walking in this office at all until he chooses to follow guidelines and protocols.
