So we ended up in this town at 7:30...on a Thursday....and all the restaurants that accept minors…read morewere closed. I am really annoyed by the licencing in Sask small towns. Do they think that people with kids close shop at 4 PM? The only two places that were open (except for Subway I suppose we could have eaten there) didn't allow minors. So do people want business during COVID or not? This place, the owner was apologetic and we ended up ordering food to go. I am marking it poorly not because the food sucked, but the whole experienced sucked. Who wants to wait 40 minutes for food that we want to transfer to our hotel room and eat there? Not me. Honestly if the COOP was open I would have just grabbed buns and a roasted chicken and eaten that at the room. The food was good in general. The Deep fried sushi was AMAZING. My kid and I agreed it was one of the better things on our trip. I found the fish and fries to be a bit on the heavy and greasy side and definitely didn't sit well. My husband liked his burger. The side salad that they included with my meal was fresh and tasty. Based on their ideas of who should be eating at the ungodly time of 7:30 we probably won't be eating here again.
