It is a good little shop with a wholesome and local vibe. I love a good thrift shop and this one doesn't disappoint. There is competition in the area in the form of Discount City down the road which edges it because of its size and ability to hold more stock but this one is a good one to check out. The goods aren't the greatest quality but you get value for money and the items do the job which you bought them for. The shop is close to the Mill Road car park and if you happen be in the area or live locally it is worth popping into. Not one to travel to North Heath specifically for. Also not one for the kids as the shop is small and there is plenty for them to knock off the shelf and break.

Even if they do not make a sale out of it, I had a problem with cooker element after cleaning the element and they suggested drying it out rather than selling me a new one. They will do PAT tests on a Wednesday I have just found out, I am selling a rare item on Ebay and they can do it for £25 (for this single item, cheaper by the dozen of course!). Great service. They have lots of nice curtains and wallpaper so you could match the things as you buy them. They sell wood and you can have it cut to size in store. They have a big garden centre bit out the back where you can buy not only plants but fences and bricks and that kind of thing too. The staff are very friendly in there and you can always find someone to help you as there is always someone by the door where you come in who you can ask directions.

The store is laid out in room style to encourage customers to recreate it rather than buy individual items. However IKEA caters for everyone from gay couples to family units with prices keenly designed to reflect all budgets. All very democratic and equal. The food in the cafe is cheap and fairly tasty but it could be better as everything is made off site before being assembled together insure. The cafe is messy as people don't clear their tables and IKEA keeps staffing levels low. After choosing your goods and before making your way to the checkout. Do take a quick peek at bargain corner. You may find damaged rubbish but you can also buy perfectly good ex display stuff. After the tills, I always look at the Swedish shop where they sell a range of frozen and long life Swedish groceries. I love the blackcurrant cured herrings and the reindeer salami.
