I was a little bit hesitant to go to a steakhouse in Manila, as I was quite convinced that it would not compare to steak at Mastro's, CUT or even Morton's or Ruth's. Quite honestly I was thinking a glorified version of the Outback at best. But as always, when you least expect it, the world surprises you with some delicious food.
We started off with the Big Eye Tuna Poke. The presentation was pretty awesome and after one bite I was sold and determined to give this place a good rating. The tuna was of premium quality and the seasoning was on point: it complemented the tuna perfectly, not too overpowering, it gave the dish just this little edge which transformed it from a good dish into a fantastic one.
For the main, we got a "small" round the world, this is five different cuts from the best places for beef. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the taste of each and every one of them was amazing. It was interesting to experience these different steaks, so it was a true pleasure for a beef lover. When I say "small" I want to add a warning that this can easily feed 4 beef lovers, the two of us barely made a dent although I was super satisfied and full!
To me, the food on itself was already worth 5 stars, but happy to report that the ambiance and service were also on the same level. It was refreshing to see that they are not your typical steakhouse, the interior is sleek yet has sufficient warmth to it to make you comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Overall a great experience and big thumbs up for this excellent steakhouse in Manila. Recommended! read more
