Many tables of tour groups but the service is excellent and I absolutely loved the cultural show taking you through Philippine history. Very well executed!! The buffet is quite diverse and a great way to try Philippine cuisine en masse. Highly recommend!

What stood out about this restaurant was the exceptional customer service and the cultural dancing while you eat delicious traditional Filipino food buffet style. I don't know if it's because they cater to tourist that makes this place so special but I left here feeling very full and very happy from the cultural performances. What was also fun was after the performances they invite the visitors from different regions of the world up to the stage and taking a picture with the dance performers. It provided a great keepsake to take back home. They also perform different songs from around the Philippines and the different dialects they speak and where they are from providing an educational opportunity. One of the songs was from the region, where my mother's father is from which is why I took a trip to the Philippines to learn more about my grandfather's culture and homeland. This touched my soul deeply and will never forget my time at Barbara's. The food was outstanding and very tourist friendly. I went up two times to partake in the delicious offerings from the buffet. I think the best thing about this place too is to have experienced all of this in an air-conditioned building. It was a nice reprieve from the 90+ degrees Fahrenheit with humidity weather that I endured in Manila. I also attended another restaurant with the cultural performance, and it was outside, and the experience was not as special due to the weather. So that's why I can't say enough good things about how I was treated and the yummy food that I ate and the beautiful cultural performances I admired at Barbara's. Highly recommend Barbara's while visiting the Philippines .

One night, we passed by it and saw that we beat everyone out of their offices and got to the area early. We parked immediately and soaked the glory in for a bit before entering. I personally liked the feel of the place because it was casual but homey at the same time, without being cheesy. With statement posters adorning the walls and chalkboards advertising their specials, I knew I was going to like it here. We decided to share an order of their super duo which had ribs for two and a choice of two side dishes. I was happy to see that they offered spinach as a siding so I got that, while my dad ordered their spiced rice. Goodness gracious, it was good! The meat was tender, almost falling off the bone and their sauce is really good, a good balance of tangy, sweet and smokey flavor. While my Dad got their brewed iced tea, as drink and dessert, I got their chocolate shake which I enjoyed not just because of the taste, but also because of the candy sprinkles and marshmallow toppings. I wouldn't mind a good rub and ribs at Rub Ribs anytime soon.

This branch is a bit of a challenge to get to though, and parking's a bit limited. That aside, the food will make your trip worth it.

I've never been a fan of steaks. Until, that is, I was introduced to Rap's…read more My lobster (a.k.a. my boyfriend) has been bugging me to try out this restaurant for ages. He studied in La Salle and this has been his favorite haunt for years, what with steak being his comfort food and him swearing that this place serves the best steaks in the city. I thought he was just being dramatic but hot damn, when that T-bone steak was lifted off the grill and dumped on my plate, I saw the heavens open up while angels sang hallellujah. I only ordered a regular T-bone, but it was so big there was barely room on the plate for the rice. How big are their large steaks then? They also served their steaks with a pitcher of buttery gravy, all for me. I promptly drowned my steak in the gravy and dove in. They also had display stands for cakes. I wasn't able to try one while I was there, but they looked really delicious. I'll definitely check them out next time, because you just know there's going to be a next time.

But when a friend invited me here for dinner and promised me that this one is cheap and has great amount of servings, I trusted him and went for dinner. I ordered the porterhouse- medium rare as always. While waiting, the waiter served us a pitcher of gravy. Yes, a one-liter pitcher of gravy for our disposal. With that, I got the impression that the steaks their serving will really be big. True enough, I got mine almost the size of a big plate. For P150 that time, I got a medium rare steak. Their gravy is really worth the calories because of its distinct taste. Until now, I still go back to Taft area just to satisfy my Rap's (that's how we call it) cravings.
