The cashier checked me out, but before I walked away, the manager came over and said that those rugs will be going on sale on Monday and he would fix the price for me. So he did a quick return and then changed the price and checked me out again, which gave me like a $20 refund. He didn't have to do that. That was some exceptional customer service! I will definitely remember to go back to JCPenney the next time I need something for my home. That's the kind of treatment that keeps customers coming back & bumps JCP to my first stop rather than an afterthought.

(Tuesday) Had a problem buying my mower at the Knox store and all they offered me was my money…read moreback. On Wednesday I went to the Valpo store and was rung up by a very sweet young lady, who was assisted by her coworker Maureen. They had problems with their delivery service, Roadies, and my mower never got picked up two days straight.I spoke with the store manager, John, and also Maureen several times about fixing the issue. All conversations were very pleasant. On Friday morning, I spoke with the assistant manager(I'm sorry I can't remember her name) and she delivered my 60" Cub Cadet personally. Their delivery service is terrible, imo, but the staff at that store is Excellent. Thank you all for turning a potentially bad experience into a good one!
