He came out the next day and measured and told me he needed 50% down to start the job. I sent him a check that was cashed. I expected to hear from him in 12-16 weeks as he said sometimes he's early. 12 weeks was around December 2022. No email no phone call so I reached out and called and left messages. I emailed many times and I hired a lawyer to send him a demand letter to return my money. It i s now March 2023 and I have been charged around $4000. for no work or phone call or email. Glen and his son did an amazing job fabricating a custom gate in just a few weeks. I asked that they take the design from the existing gate at the model home. The end result was a gate that not only exceeded the quality but was 100 times sturdier than the flimsy one at the model. After they installed the gate I had a little problem with the strike plate alignment after it settled (the thing is 160lbs, so I was expecting some settling). They came back out shortly after to install a new strike plate which fixed the problem. I wrapped them in vinyl but vinyl just wasn't meant to last THAT long. I have always known about powder coating, but never really know what it was. After a quick search I was able to find out enough to know this was the route that I wanted to go. I did a search on yelp for powder coating and Surefire Fabrication was one of the first to come up. I sent a request for a quote and within minutes I had a message back from Glen. The price was the best that I got from all other companies around, and the turnaround time was the fastest as well. The process was super smooth from start to finish. I brought the parts to the shop, and within a few days I had them back. Surefire did an excellent job. I really couldn't be happier with the results.
