Then told me that if I wanted to get the orthopedic inserts she would send papers, which I still haven't received, and it was up to me to get approval from my insurance company. I am now going to another podiatrist to fix one they botched. The female doesn't know what she's doing but at least put novacaine in my toe. The guy was more knowledgeable but cut my nail before the novacaine kicked in. On the floor was other peoples pieces of nails and toes I didn't want to take my shoes off. Clean a little before the next patient. The office double booked me one day and I had to come back. its like they have two offices to make money but not enough staff.

I tripped and rolled my ankle yesterday, went to urgent care and found out I had a broken bone in my foot. They splinted me and sent me home to follow with a podiatrist. I called Constantouris Foot Care in Commack and was seen almost immediately. When I called I was told they were booked but when I gave them the full story they squeezed me in and was seen by Dr. Gus Constantouris (within 1 hour of my call). Thankfully they did because it was worse than I was initially told-on my way to get MRI (which their amazing office arranged for me) and will get a call personally from the Dr. after the results are in. They also have an office in Stony Brook as well. Save their number because they are fantastic

At 5:15pm I inquired form the receptionist as to when I would be seen as my appt was at 4:30pm. She very nonchalantly stated , "well, you're the last appointment." I again said my appt was at 4:30pm. No answer from her. I was not given a time frame as to when I would be taken. So I explained I would be leaving and again she stated "okay" I walked out. I worked in the medical field as an RN for years. If a doctor was delayed we would let the patients know and ask if they wanted to wait or reschedule. It was the patient option. This was a very poor first impression for a new patient. So while I understand Dr. Taormino is very good I will not return. Front desk staff actions and impressions are very important.

You feel very comfortable talking with Dr. Coombs. Don't be afraid to ask him anything. He takes his time talking with you, very thorough. One time he was late coming in, he apologized, he was at a doctors' meeting. He said the meetings are usually a waste of time and would rather be here with his patients.
