My husband and I worked with Madelyn at Music City Law to update our estate plans. Madelyn…read morecontinues to be responsive via email and was patient with us and all of our questions throughout. Start to finish I want to say it was 3-4 weeks including renaming an out-of-state deed in addition to our properties in Tennessee. The first step is a consultation which took us maybe 45-min. We were given a questionnaire via email before that appointment so we were prepared. At our consultation we set a time to meet to sign documents approximately 3-weeks later. Amazing turnaround time! We paid for a portion of the amount due when we decided to proceed and paid the remainder at the second meeting. We received an emailed copy of our documents to review a week or so before signing and I found that helpful. Understand every word and don't be embarrassed to discuss sensitive issues/concerns. Madelyn had to explain to me a few legal terms used that I didn't quite understand and we discussed ways to avoid conflict when this estate is used. After signing documents you'll be given a folder with a checklist of tasks to complete the estate. It's straightforward and Madelyn continued to clarify any issues we stumbled upon. We did start to receive deeds in the mail within a few weeks in addition to scam that looked pretty legit but Madelyn helped us see through that. The office is easy to get to on 96 just East of Carothers and there's plenty of parking. We'll meet with MCL again every few years to keep things updated. It feels great knowing we've done all we can to help make things go smoothly.

I think I will be looking for another attorney after all. He's in cahoots with my brother who is a recipient of the trust and not the executor of the trust. I don't think that's legal. And charging me $300 for that. My mother would be ashamed of you. Justin!

This was the case recently with one of my buyer clients who found her dream home - a retro ranch in West Nashville. Her list-price offer was accepted and we got under contract, completing the inspection which was a breeze, and the buyer agreeing to take the house 'as-is' with no repairs and give the seller some time to move out. It all looked fine till three days before closing a discovery that there was a $10k lien on the title due to the seller's unpaid card debt, which can sometimes happen. Not sure of the reasons why but the seller dug heels in by not allowing the buyer the entitled final walkthrough and refused to cooperate as per the contract and close. The deal stalled in a deadlock my buyer who wanted to proceed and purchase the house - and an uncooperative seller who refused to budge. But thanks to real estate attorney super hero John Rochford on the buyer's team, the transaction untangled, and the seller and buyer closed according to plan. John saved the day big time, my buyer is delighted and I am very appreciative of the expertise of John and his wonderful team at Rochford Law and Real Estate Title. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Very poor representation by Tracy P. Knight!…read more Ms. Knight does not listen effectively and her demeanor is condescending. She reports being an "officer of the court" in which she cannot submit falsified information to the court, however for settlement purposes, she proposed and insisted (multiple times) that I agree to income representation which is $8k more than my actual income. When questioned on settling for the higher income for calculation, Ms. Knight became angry and withdrew her interest in the case. I had to fill out my own child support worksheets and proposed amended parenting plan to respond to the opposing counsel. In mediation, Ms. Knight, texted for the entire duration of the session and became frustrated when I decided to walk away from mediation (my right to do). I fully participated in discovery responses and provided ample discovery. Ms. Knight sent 7 questions for interrogatories and upon receipt of answers, did not make opposing counsel provided discovery. Over $5k in legal fees since February 2019 and not one time has she stood up for me and my rights as a father! Skip over this firm when considering them for representation.

Telling me he was gonna get me another attorney from his firm because he doesn't try cases, and he needed to draw up paperwork. I got the paperwork, it was drawn up 2 days before and for him and his firm. So, I spent 2 years wasted waiting on him, in the disposition he wrote that this lien was costing me money. We had a difficult listing due to zoning and planning restrictions, and Loy pulled out all the stops to shepherd it through the process every step of the way, and he got us top-dollar. But his service was more than that. He took us on as a do-or-die case, pulling out all the tricks in both his realtor and his attorney bags, to keep up hopeful when it looked like it would fall through, and to do what we needed to do to put our best foot forward. I would recommend Loy Carney to anyone selling a house. I would imagine he'd do a buyer just as good a job, as he has all the connections of a seasoned veteran realtor. He was personable, resourceful, and I honestly don't think five stars are enough. Loy is outstanding.
