Everyone here is so nice and it is truly a family! I…read moreabsolutely love being an altar server and helping teach the religion classes! It's some of my most favorite volunteer work I've ever done! Many of the priests and staff members happen to know me by name too! Fr. Francis is seriously our own pope and always makes us feel important!!! The other altar servers I have worked with are practically saints they're so nice! The School of Religion office Staff Mrs. McKee, Mrs. Hansen, and Mrs. Squilante are some of the nicest people you'll meet and are very uplifting people! All the religion teachers are great too! My friends and I have done service projects for the SVDP food pantry here, where some of the nicest people work! Volunteering here always takes my mind off of bad stuff in the world and the negative atmosphere of school. (I go to catholic school and there are STILL a lot of rude people there, but hopefully high school will be better.) The way I'm treated here (by both adults and the SOR students) compared to at school makes me even more grateful for all the staff and fellow parishioners here. The ushers are so nice and always have huge smiles on their faces, the choir (the adults and definitely the kids too) sounds amazing, and our organist, Deanna, is fantastic! So are all the other instrumentalists!
