Let me start that I have only posted one other review in my life. Good or bad, I never complete…read moresurveys or give reviews. If feel Warrior Hearing Center deserves a glowing review for their products and service. I called Warrior Hearing Center and spoke with the owner, Janice Richbourg for twenty minutes or more looking for information on hearing aids for my ninety-year-old mother. Mom has severe Alsheimer's and Meniere's disease and resides in an assisted living facility. Janice is extremely knowledgeable about Alzheimer's and Meniere's disease. I explained that Mom has continually lost her hearing aids and I have had to replace them multiple times. They have been stepped on, ran through the laundry, supposedly swallowed necessitating a trip to the ER (they were tangled in the sheets), and both lost within four days of each other. It has been very expensive to say the least! I asked if there were any solutions to keep Mom's hearing aids in her ears to prevent future damage and loss. Janice answered all my questions thoroughly and professionally. She informed me she could have gromets added to hearing aids at the factory. A lanyard could be clipped onto the gromets and then attach the lanyard to the back of Mom's shirt. No more lost hearing aids! She said she frequently did that for older patients as well as young children that tend to lose them. This option had never been presented to me with Mom's prior audiologist (over twenty years) even though I had asked repeatedly if they could help. A simple solution to a BIG, EXPENSIVE problem! Janice spent almost two hours with Mom the day of the examination and hearing test. I was amazed at how calm and patient she was with Mom. She allowed me to stay within Mom's sight due to her severe Alzheimer's and fear of strangers. She went over the results and explained how severe Mom's hearing loss is. She suggested we stay with the in-the-ear, clamshell hearing aids that Mom has worn for almost thirty years. She explained the over-the-ear rechargeable ones that I had been told would be a great option for Mom were in fact not a good choice for an Alzheimer's patient. Mom would not know how to put them in. Unfortunately, the clamshell hearing aids were not offered in rechargeable. Janice went through our options for the various levels of hearing aids. She listened closely to what I told her about Mom's environment. There are normally fifty to sixty people in the dining room for each meal. Mom needed noise canceling hearing aids to filter out the background noise so Mom can pull out the voices of her tablemates. Yes, they are expensive but worth the extra money. Janice took impressions that day for new hearing aids and sent them overnight to the factory for a rush order. Mom had lost both of her hearing aids and was virtually deaf without them. Alas, the package didn't arrive at the factory the next day. It was lost! Due to Covid, Mom's facility had been locked down again since her initial appointment. Janice drove to Mom's facility (an hour roundtrip) and made new impressions and sent them to the factory a second time. Janice did not charge for this exemplary service! When the hearing aids arrived, Janice once again was very patient with Mom, took her time explaining the new hearing aids, fitting them to Mom and testing them for optimal usage. She had us come in again two weeks later for a checkup. At that appointment, Janice informed me that they had just started offering Mom's type of hearing aid that were rechargeable. She offered to make new impressions, have the factory make a new set and swap them out FREE! In summary, I cannot express my gratitude to Janice and her professionalism. If you need hearing aids, give Janice a call and let her walk you through the process. She is so knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and willing to work with you to get the best hearing aids for your unique, individual needs.
