The good part is this store tries to keep prices down, and has an array of Inscents, Tobaccos, pipes, papers, and machines to roll your own smokes. (That is a biggy up here). Worth a stop in to check out, good items, decent prices, watch out for the "Local" yahoo's though..they can pester you a bit. Just slap them and walk on bye....:)

The staff there knew exactly the blends I liked, suggested 2 others that they thought would satisfy. The Port Barrow is spectacular. Similar to Bar Harbor I had years ago, just as they suggested. And Stoney's hit the same notes as the Hobbits Weed I was a fan of. Moist not wet, and smooth. To this day, I have not found G&Ps parallel. I am literally getting it shipped to me because I have never found better. Hats off to you gentlemen, you are an artist of a dying craft.

But they don't really sell cigarette or pipe tobacco. Like all the tobacco shops in town, they sell pipes and bongs. So, after fees and overdraws, I bought three sodas for forty-six dollars, and twenty-nine cents. I will not be giving these guys any more of my business. This Carr's Great Alaska Tobacco Company shop is one of the better of the chain. They have the…read morefull compliment of name brand cigarettes, lighters, rolling papers, cigars, etc. They also have several brands of 6oz pipe tobacco. What I find frustrating about this store is they don't cell the 16oz bags of tobacco. They do sell tubes and rolling machines as well. What do I love about this store? The location is safe and the store is brightly lit, the staff is knowledgable and this is the CHEAPEST store in town for bulk tobacco (by a lot!) Today a 6 oz bag of Red Cap tobacco was 12.50. (Other stores in town were selling it for 15.95, 16.95 and 17.95 a bag. )
