I called several places and had booked a late afternoon appointment with a place in smokey point. I happened to keep looking and found Karen here on yelp. i gave her a call and she was able to get me in an hour later. When i arrived at her place of business she was out front to greet me as that is her custom for all new clients. She was very friendly and took close note of how painful it was just to get out of the car. We went into the office and took care of paperwork and i prepared for the massage. When i went to see her my pain level was a solid nine pushing close to a ten. She worked on every part of my body with a heavy focus on my back. She was very professional the entire time but had a level of compassion that allowed us to have a great conversation while she took care of the business at hand. By the time that she was done with just one hour of massage i went home with a pain level just in the part of my back where the pulled muscles with a pain of about 2. I was fully aware that i would not be totally pain free but was amazed at how much of it had gone away. I will be seeing her as often as i can and will recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing massage therapist. As for the rest of my body all the tension was gone. Her prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. As they say you get what you pay for but in this case you get more. The building has ample parking, but I had an early appointment so I don't know if the 2 restaurants get busy and patrons take up most of the parking spaces. The reception area is welcoming with some retail items for sale. It certainly did not give that spa feel. Each therapist decorate their own room, and sadly, Taylor had the smallest room. It felt cramped in the room ( I was spoiled with her much larger room at the last place). Of course, she's the reason I drove all the way to Stanwood - Taylor is compassionate and thorough. She really focuses on relieving tension and pain on your back, neck and feet.
