They show you where the products are and literally leave you alone. I needed some vitamin D. She showed me the section and then left. There was no assistance or suggestion in which was the best supplement. There were about 4 customers in the store including me and no one actually helped me even when i acknowledged that i was overwhelmed by the number of products. While they have a large selection of products, there's very little knowledge or assistance with what to purchase.

I hope to update to five stars soon, but so far my experience here is a fail. I'm in search of…read moreheavy whipping cream (HWC) that is just cream without the various gummy additives. I can find lots of HWC with the gummy, waxy additives in my town but am willing to drive a bit to find pure HWC. I called Vitamins Plus a few days ago and was told that they carried the brand I was seeking - pure HWC in a plastic bottle - but their current stock was to expire in four days and they didn't know when a fresh shipment would arrive. It's a pricey product so I didn't want to drive the 35 miles to the shop for a product that was to expire so soon. This morning, I called and spoke to the woman who'd helped me when I called before. I said. "Hello. I called a few days ago about the HWC ..." and before I could finish my sentence, she said, "Oh, yes. We just got a new shipment in." I confirmed the store hours and was on my way. When I arrived, I found the HWC that expired tomorrow, so I asked the young woman on the floor about the new shipment. She asked the man who was stocking shelves who told her it was on the bottom shelf. It wasn't. She said it was probably still in the back to be stocked. I asked her if they discounted products that were to expire and she told me they did. She left the floor and came back to tell me 1) they would not discount it because there was still a day left before it expired; 2) they did not have that brand of HWC but only had cartons that she showed me which were not dairy at all; they were oat mild/almond milk. So, I left the store but decided to call back to see if I could speak to the woman who' told me they had the product I sought. She answered the phone and told me that they only had HWC in cartons. I told her that the other woman told me the same but had showed me non-dairy cartons. I went back into the store where the first woman met with with a carton of HWC that had the gummy additives in it. I told her that I had driven from another town, 35 miles away, and she apologized for the confusion. She then said to check back in four days and to be sure to ask for the specific brand. I thought it was clear what I wanted both times I called, but sometimes in some places, the customer is always wrong. She didn't offer to discount a bottle of the HWC which would have been a great customer service gesture. There is a whole contingent of people in my town, new to MS, who would be happy to know more about Vitamins Plus. Before I left, I advised her that the huge American flag that they had hung outside their store was improperly displayed. The blue field is always on the left, whether hung vertically or horizontally. She said she'd have "him" rehang it correctly. This store appears to be a great resource for many products unavailable in regular grocery stores, so I look forward to patronizing it as soon as I'm able to buy the one product I'm looking for: HWC in its pure form.

I tried several different flavors and my favorites were the pineapple and jalapeno. They are now making their sausages available here and I picked up some right away. Lil Butcher Shoppe is located at 1910 Broadway Dr in Hattiesburg, MS, and has been proudly serving the Pine Belt region since 1991. This family-owned and operated "olde-fashioned" butcher shop offers a wide variety of fresh, high-quality meats, local products, and excellent customer service. From its humble beginnings at Tip's gas station to its current thriving location, Lil Butcher Shoppe has become a beloved fixture in the community and now making their sausages products available in stores. Their history, brothers David Lawson and Steven Dyar founded Lil Butcher Shoppe over three decades ago, drawing inspiration from their family's history in the service industry. Prior to opening the butcher shop, David worked at Tip's, a gas station named after their mother, Christal "Tip" Lawson. The family managed the various locations from the years 1974-1990. David had worked in the family's gas station business his entire life, where he learned business management and customer service skills. After serving in the Navy, Steven Dyar began working at Carroll's Meat Shoppe, Patricia (Trish) Dyar's family butcher shop in Jacksonville, FL. This is where Steve learned the butcher trade and fell in love with Trish, whom he married. In 1990, the couple decided to move back to Mississippi. Lil Butcher Shoppe boasts a vast selection of fresh, hand-cut beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. Customers can also request custom cuts to suit their preferences. In addition to high-quality meats, the shop offers a range of homemade items, such as: * Stuffed Potatoes (6 flavors) * Bratwursts * Boudin * Meatloaf * Smoked Chicken * Stuffed Porkchops * Stuffed Chicken * Gumbo * Mardi Gras Pasta Sauce * Casseroles * Stuffed Mushrooms & Peppers * Crawfish Pies The shop also stocks an assortment of cheeses, homemade jams, and various ready-to-bake dishes. With such a diverse array of offerings, Lil Butcher Shoppe truly caters to a wide range of tastes and culinary needs. I have already prepared a number of dishes for breakfast and dinner using several of these sausages and I'm a fan. The pineapple flavor is very good just grilled on a bun with a pineapple slaw and the jalapeno one is great with beans. I have more ideas and there's lots of ideas. Bottom line: Lil Butcher Shoppe has stood the test of time as a family-owned, community-oriented establishment in Hattiesburg, MS. Offering an extensive array of high-quality meats, homemade dishes, and local products, it remains a go-to destination for residents and visitors alike who appreciate quality and exceptional customer service.
