The king is crowned! Smoothie King backs up their name with kick in' smoothie options! It took me a long time to ever actually try a Smoothie King. I really love Tropical Smoothie, so when I found out that Smoothie King really just serves smoothies I wasn't as interested for some reason. But I know so many people who go there religiously and it always made me wonder. Well, I don't wonder any longer! They have a giant menu, with flavors for every craving and more. They're legit!! Plus, on Friday smoothies are $5 even for the biggest size and that's definitely the best time to go. I think it's cool they also sell a lot of other healthy products and supplements, though most of them are definitely overpriced. The service at this smoothie king was great, there was a bit of a line today but the workers were working hard to get everyone their smoothies in a timely manner. I've been enjoying trying all of different smoothies since I stumbled upon the Lakeland location of Smoothie King. What I enjoy most are the ingredients; they taste authentic and not full of syrupy substances. They have deal Fridays ($1 off), and occasionally coupons for local residents (wish they'd email general offers). I love the coffee and sweeter flavors... with an enhancement of yogurt and caffeine. I didn't take any pictures of the smoothies because it would have just been in a foam container which is ehhh. However, the smoothies are pretty good! I have just recently been going to smoothie king and honestly.. I'm just upset that I didn't go sooner. I usually go to tropical smoothie but they're just a rip off compared to smoothie king. You get so much more from smoothie king because their 32oz is about $9 normally but on Friday's they're $5. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can substitute stevia for sugar and add two items. I usually add peanut butter and bananas. Smoothie King also offers a rewards program that cost money to join. I decided to join because I was informed that I "would save 20%" and the savings would apply to everything. However the savings are not applicable towards smoothies. Your blueberry heaven smoothie gave me "food" poisoning. I live in port orange but work in Tampa...I passed through lakeland to run some errands and thought to myself a yummy smoothie would be awesome, especially since I hadn't eaten yet and the time was about 5:30pm. Got my 32oz smoothie (which was technically my breakfast, lunch and dinner). I started my 2 hour drive to port orange while drinking my smoothie...i got as far as kissimmee and was instantly nauseated, from that point on i had to pull over and vomit about every 20 minutes for the duration of my 2 hour drive and into the night. I always thought this was just a small place with ice and a blender. It is a "nutrition center" store with all kinds of protein and health drinks, powders, snacks and foods. You can get various breads by the slice (zucchini, banana, pumpkin), you can get healthful munchies (chips or dried veggies) and nutrition things by the tank that I don't even know what they are for. Now for the smoothies. There are over 60 kinds. You need to decide what you want out of the smoothie. They have "trim down" smoothies under 400 calories. They use turbinado sugar and honey for sweetness. They have "stay healthy" smoothies with things like blueberries or pomegranate. They have "get energy" smoothies with "x-treme caffeine" or acai berry. They have categories called "snack right" and "indulge". It will take you more than one trip to figure out what you want and what you like. They have enhanced to put in the smoothie if you wish, mutli-vitamins, MSM, stress relief powder, immune powder. My two complaints are that they start at 20 oz which is twice the drink I like and the price for that is $5.00, more than I want for a "treat". I ordered an "Island Impact" (papaya, mango, sorbet, pineapple, vanilla protein blend) from the trim down category for 311 calories. It was refreshing and not a bad flavor but it left a strange aftertaste and "coating" feeling in my mouth. This place probably meets the needs of a certain kind of people. I am just as happy with a Lite Slurpee or a 230 calorie small DQ cone. I certainly could not use these as "meal replacements". read more

Amazing smoothie!!! Friendly staff and it's super quick and you don't feel weighed down like if you eat fast food

So i came back to this location today to get a smoothie. The Smoothie i got was really good but the customer service was literally non existent. Nobody greeted me, the person at the order station didnt interact with me at all. Not even a "Hi". Then as i was walking over to the station where you pay. There was a worker dusting shelves and she didnt even move out of the way for me to pass i had to walk all the way around her ( mind you i am 8 months pregnant) so any type of courtesy would have been nice. The employees all seemed unhappy tp be there, even tho there were 4 of them working and i was the only customer in the store. I thought at least one of them would have made some type of effort at the customer service but i Guess thats too much to ask for. I will not be returning here again. Too bad theres no Jamba Juice in this area but Tropical Smoothie will definitly be getting all of my business from now on. read more

Although this place is a little pricey, it's perfect for the health conscious. Everytime I go there I spend almost $14 on 2 smoothies but they are meal replacements. If I were to go get 2 meals at a restaurant it would cost the same, if not more. They have a ton smoothies but they also sell the powder so you can make your own. I don't disagree with what everyone is saying about the prices. They do have specials on certain days and if you belong to the club, you get great discounts. I go here all the time, the staff has been very nice and I've always had great service. You can pay 6-8 dollars at a lot of other fast food chains. Ill take the healthier route. read more

Beware, the prices posted at this location do not necessarily include the total cost for the smoothies listed below the prices. The published prices are deceptive, and you won't know until your smoothie is already prepared that you may owe much more than the posted prices. The workers I encountered today on my first visit were quite apologetic and acknowledged that the posted prices were confusing, and they offered to re-make my smoothies. They did not offer to just charge me the posted price, so I went ahead and paid the extra charges, but left with a very bad taste in my mouth for Smoothie King. I normally buy my smoothies at Tropical Smoothie, which I like much better, and at a much lower price. I'll stick to Tropical Smoothie in the future. read more

Even though prices may be a little bit high, I do love the smoothies and the nutritional options that are available for retail. As a frequent customer, I get excited when I hear that new products are coming in and cannot wait to try them out. I believe the customer service could improve and I think the girls that work there need to cover up their backsides and be more reserved. Unfortunately, I don't like to bring my kids into the store with girls walking around with their rears hanging out of their shorts.
