Well the home advisor that came to leave me a quote made a very good impression, was organised and…read moreknew what he was talking about, at the end of the day i wanted a good price and a good long lasting product, after all i don't plan on getting my double glazing done every few months so i got quotes from a few of the big name firms. Sureglaze gave me a competitive price and promised me quality so i let them do the front of my house kinda like a tester, i liked the samples and qualiity of product was probably the best i had seen but i had doubts and felt somthing wasn't right. They said it is cash on completion and you only make payment when the job is done up to your satisfaction so after we agreed on a price i gave the chap a £60 deposit. After this i got calls regularly updating me on the details of the order, surevey and the date they were going to fit, customer service as far as i have seen has been perfect and very organised. The fitters came round last week, this is about 3 weeks after i went ahead. the window fitters first covered all our furniture etc in plastic sheets, then they installed the windows and the front door. After the work was completed they cleaned up and the place was spotless. The one thing i didn't like was cigarette ends left by one of the window fitters in our drive, i don't smoke so don't appreciate that so have let Sureglaze know and they have apologised and said it won't happen again. Overall Sureglaze did an excellent job, i will be getting the back of the house done very soon and hopefully some solar panels in the future if and when i have the money. Prior to finalizing on Sureglaze I and my wife had decided to get at least 3 quotes. Out of the three Sureglaze were top when it came to quality of the product. Right from the salesman to the installation the process was very smooth and professional. However, the only problem was that the price was a bit higher than other companies but given the quality we now think it is justified. The bathroom and one bedroom that we did do were so cold but after replacing these windows they are now the warmest part of the house. We wish we had enough money to get the whole house done in one go. So we have decided to save enough money that will allow us to get the remainder of the 7 windows 2 or 3 at a time. I highly recommend Sureglaze from personal experience to anyone thinking of getting their windows or doors done as it is a big decision to make and it must be the right one. The workmen turned up on a totally different day than expected, did all around my bungalow- preventing me from getting out of the house to inspect, had to pay the man with a cheque through the window! Following day my pavement took 2 hours to clean up because of all the excess stones used in the mixing, I was left without grate handle covers and there was resin on my walls and in the drains. What was supposed to take 2 days 28th May 2012, took 9 weeks to actually finish! This involves the sending of grate covers to using acid to take cement off the bricks. Everything looks great from the start with a well presented suited rep and the patter that goes with it. Trying to get someone to respond when there is a problem was a nightmare. Eventually "Chris" came. He said that the firm had been having a lot of problems with customers complaining about weeds and he said he was going to sort it. Chris then said he would video the path. It was ok for me to go on indoors as it wouldn't take him long. It didn't either cos he did nothing. Eventually I got Carwin visiting. Back to the seedlings story! The guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on and the firm are a load of conmen. I just wish a group of us could get together and take them for misrepresentation of a product. No weeds- just seedlings and moss!

Then the ultimate sin happened ........ he phoned his Manager to see if anyone else in the area had their product, the Manager phoned us back on our house phone and 'low and behold' we were offered a 20% discount IF we signed today because nobody else around had the product. We said we needed to review everything and had a different company coming in 2 days to give us a quote too as we obviously need to get more than one quote. He got quite uppity and left in a huff. If the product can't sell itself, then we're not interested. All we want is a decent, honest quote with no frills. Just lay it on the line. Reading the above reviews I'm glad we didn't get involved.
