I went on the 6 hour adventure up the Snake River. It was amazing!! The Captain, Kaden, was so personable, knowledgeable and an excellent driver! He could read the river very well. The entire day was just fascinating! Picnic lunch was superb! They use smaller boats so you have that "family feel" instead of crammed in with a whole bunch of strangers!! We have the most amazing day on the river yesterday. We took the tour up to Hell's Canyon Dam. Be prepared it is an all day (11 hrs) journey but worth every bit of it. Be sure to get there early to get the best seat (right rear- shade and a smoother ride...you're welcome) First stop for breakfast with coffee, OJ and muffins greeted by turkeys and a bunny. Next off, lunch at an old mining ranch and finished off the day with a swim and signature cookies. The crew was attentive and friendly, pointing out historical places along the way. read more

June 7, 2023: This was an amazing day (6 hours) with Snake Dancer Excursions! Our boat captain was great; very knowledgeable about the history of Hells Canyon, and what states the river spans (Washington, Idaho, and Oregon). When wildlife was spotted he would take time to be sure that everyone was able to see it. The location that we stopped for lunch was perfect with tables moved to the shade. The food was great, chicken, backed beans, salad, veggies, cookies and lemonade. There was bottled water on the boat which was nice and the boat was very comfortable. Twenty two people, plus the captain and helper. I would definitely recommend this company and this excursion. read more

This was an amazing experience for me and my family we enjoyed ourselves with the amazing stops and facts along the way. Captain Eric had lots of information to share along the way about the local geology, history and river. Having a knowledgeable person narrate portions of the trip is a real bonus. They accomplished both and the crew on the boat were experienced and helpful. To be honest we would take this tour again. We took the half day trip on Aug 8, 2015 and had a great time. The captain and his assistant were very friendly, helpful to the guests and informative. Anytime wildlife was spotted the captain would stop to allow for photos and a closer look. We stopped for lunch at the Hells Canyon National Recreation Center and a very good lunch was provided. It was a nice break before continuing the trip. The half day trip was a great way to see the canyon and next time I would do the full day for the 4 & 5 class rapids.
