The staff, Joe and Maddie were fun, welcoming, humorous , and incredibly knowledgeable, making everyone feel comfortable and safe while still delivering an exciting adventure. Maddie was exceptional at keeping everyone hydrated continuously handing out waters to everyone, chatted with the guests and made sure we were having fun. Joe, is an very funny, fun and exceptional driver and kept us all very safe while navigating a very busy day on the river and even allowing us to have a little fun on the way down and see a little water on the windshield ;) All while always keeping safety in mind. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the guides shared so many historical interesting facts about the area's history, wildlife, and geology along the way, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Their passion for what they do really shows. They stopped to let us swim and picked a spot that we had all to ourselves! Later they provided a thoughtful box lunch which was very good! Sandwich, chips, carrots with ranch dip, cookie and a granola bar! Whether you're a first-time visitor or someone who just loves the outdoors, this is an experience that's well worth it. The combination of beautiful views, historical points, continuous education on the area and its settlers and outstanding customer service made for a day we'll never forget. Amazing way to spend the better part of the day enjoying the beauty of the Snake River and Hells Canyon area! Our captain and crew were amazing - great, informative commentary without being "too much" and attentive care. We were provided plenty of cold water throughout the trip. The included lunch stop on our tour had a really nice pre-packaged box lunch everyone enjoyed. Bring - sunscreen, hat, glasses, towel, and anything else you may need to make yourself comfortable for the day. read more

If traveling from out of the area be aware that your tour may be canceled if they don't have enough reservations or if it is "hot in the valley". Received a full refund but disappointed that an activity that was reserved well in advance was cancelled because essentially they would not make enough profit that day. read more

OMG Capt Nate and deckhand Steve were amazing, although Capt Nate said it was his first day... amazing what you can learn from Youtube these days! I highly recommend these two and Snake River Adventures for an awesome jet boat tour of the Snake River. It was worth every dollar. We traveled through Washington, Idaho and Oregon down the Snake River. Amazing how the topography changes down the 50+ miles we traveled. The scenery is breathtaking, the ride was fun and i learned a little more history about Lewis & Clark as well of the area. read more

Great fun. We were worried that it would be too hot. Forecast for over 100. But only 92 in the shade, on the boat. And it goes fast. So very comfortable. And they kept coming through with ice cold water. The views are fantastic. read more

Captain Nate and 'Scooby' Steve were both very professional, knowledgeable, funny, helpful, polite, accommodating, and made our trip the best it could be (the way that Nate knows that River is admirable)!!! We took the Hell's Canyon jet boat tour, which we booked through our cruise line, and enjoyed it. Our pilot was Eric and our mate was Randy and our boat was the Jodee Pearl. It was about a five-hour tour. Whenever we came upon something interesting on one of the banks, Randy was careful to stop and pivot the boat in place so that everyone got a good look. Randy has been running this tour for 18 years, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the river, the geology, and the wildlife. His running spiel is informative without being overwhelming. We got an extended break at Garden Creek Ranch, which we appreciated. It was a fun tour! read more

June 2022 - Took this tour through an American Cruise Line package. We started the tour around 11 am and returned around 5 pm. The trip included a very nice lunch around 1 pm. The jet boat is powered by 3 Ford V8s and has around 1,500 HP. It cruises around 25 mph. The captain and First mate were great ... they explained what we were seeing, the operation of the boat and generally were very helpful and fun. We drove part of the route in a rental car the day before. It's a beautiful drive, but the view from the boat is totally different ... better. We had wonderful weather and a great trip. We had SO much fun! I live here in Lewiston but was able to take my granddaughter on this trip...it was wonderful! We saw SO many mountain sheep, deer and great scenery! We took the 1/2 day trip on the 30th of August, 2023...the deckhand was Cayden and both he and the Captain of the boat were outstanding. We made our reservations on short notice the day before. The day of the trip the boat was on time at the pick up location. Our captain was the company owner with his young son acting as first mate and deckhand. The boat was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Captain Justin was very informative about things to see along the way and made frequent stops to bring us closer to wildlife along the shoreline including big horn sheep, deer, eagles, coyote, osprey, etc. We stopped for a furnished box lunch approx. 35 miles up river on the Oregon side. The lunch was filing and tasty. We turned around upriver after a total of 56 miles and on the way back the captain stopped at a small beach to allow us to stretch our legs and let the kids on board go swimming. All in all the five and a half hour trip was great. The only reason I gave a four instead of a five was I had anticipated some sharp turns and "wet time" as I have had on similar excursions on other rivers. But this criticism may not be fair because it may not be allowed on this river, and it was a cooler day. Maybe it was a conscience decision due to the weather. read more
