I spoke on the phone with MS. KORNEGAY a month ago. I live in Texas. The phone call was an hour…read morelong 3/23/2026. This is for her supervisor Ms. Danielle Wilson in Jamacia. NY 11431-5800. Because I wasn't able to get documents needed here at our San Antonio office, MS. KORNEGAY promised she would have documents to me in 7-11 days!!! It was pertinent ,time sensitive info needed for my mentally disabled son's AJL hearing. She put me on hold over 25 times because she needed time to look up info, kept saying hold on when I tried to ask something or give her specific info needed. She sounded incompetent or New. How hard is it to look up the following: Copies of notices sent to my son of overpayments, notices to appeal, that they say were denied, refusal for him to file the SSA-362 for hardship, inability to pay, bank name the overpayments went to, Copy of bank they say they garnished $25,000 and now saying he owes $51,000. Just got notice they are garnishing his disability pay in May in the amount of $890 for the next 5 yr, leaving him with just $680 a month to live on. His car was repossessed, he has no assets. He did not get any of the notices from SSA because his roommate had evicted him, withheld his mail and he was living in his car. I was unaware of any of this.He was diagnosed with severe schitsophrenic-Bi-polar disorder in 2008 was diagnosed by a personal pyschiatrist and a SS appointed pyschiatrist!and & is currently 100% worse, on 6 medications. Would ANY one of you employees who have children, family members you would want to be treated in this manner? THE SS SYSTEM does not care, I am 74 ,I've been to our local office 8 times since 2024, waiting hours when the PA system isnt working or screens with the nbr not working & it sickens me that my beloved 48 yr old son is like a zombie. I've already buried one son at age 33. As for MS. KORNEGAY, this review is for YOUR NEGLIGENCE ,lack of compassion, making promises, & commitments and not following through and you definitely should be fired from the SS TELESERVICE CENTER @ P.O. BOX 5800 Jamacia,NY I had every intention of writing a positive review and contact Ms. DANIELLE WILSON if you followed through with your promise of help. Sleep well KORNEGAY SS ,we are HUMANS, SUFFERRING, but not being heard or shown compassion. being treated like a nbr on your screen, next!!

It's been 45 minutes, and there are still ~100 people ahead of me. Most did not have appointments. Why do they require appointments if they're gonna let people in? This is the stupidest system and unfair to those who made appointments. I came with everything required, but I am still here. The office closes at 4 pm, so I'm not even sure if we will be seen.

The line is for those who is going in for a court business. The jury member pick is very systematic. In half hour, everyone has been called to drop off the jury card. A video of the selection procedure has been shown while waiting. Tv was left in while waiting for instructions. In less than hour, the selected juries has been called. In an hour, the rest has been dismissed after the confirmation that there's no need for additional jurors. Beautiful experience. Location is close to everything, bus stops, commercial stores, medical shops and retail shops. Thought I won't like this location over Kew Gardens. I was wrong. See you in 6 years !

I'm sure disaster awaits inside the glass doors but I'm held up as i near the door, my 50 prediction was pretty accurate i think to myself, Truck horns blare, car alarms sound their songs on and on in the distance. The place looks like a prison, the place across the street with the green roof looks like a prison too and so does the McDonalds on the corner. Once inside, it's "belts, watches off and empty your pockets into the bin, cellphones too" I know this routine and I'm already completed. Small claims to the right, I get in the elevator, I get out of the elevator because I do not know the way. A kind faced white shirt authoritative figure loomed ahead so I asked him of its whereabouts. Walking in, they're is one person informing the staffer of her case, she's a lawyer abd i can tell because she's speaking lawyer-ly. So I'm next and I think I'm ready, I've never sued anyone before, I did the paperwork and now it's time to slide it under the glass. One red pen appears, I get the chills having been permanently scarred from grammar school by that instrument. Those nuns sure are strict, but he wasn't and looking up at me asked for the filing fee with a nod of acceptable completion. Looking forward to my night court date in July- sure do wish I could say to the classless beast that stole my A. Lange & Sonne, " see you in court". I got the goods on him.

I also filled out the form very thoroughly as I wanted to make sure I get my full child support. My ex has never paid his share of the bills and I needed to make sure he did after our separation. He even lied about his salary. In front of my physically and mentally abusive husband, as was stated in the court papers, the judge humiliates me by saying "why did you write so much, this is ridiculous". My ex made a "now you know what I'm dealing with" face. The same face he made when he knocked me into a wall. How dare a judge, who is supposed to be a professional, make a statement like that. Take the numbers you need, plug them into the computer and keep your rude, unnecessary comments to yourself. If you don't like your job, get another one. I suggest if you experience this, you file a complaint. I wish I had. Expect to be treated rudely, mentally prepare not to respond , they seem to be looking for power plays. There is a formula for child support, look it up before you go and make sure to include all necessary parts. Ask for medical. I almost didn't get it because the judge didn't care. I asked. Ask for dental. Ask for what you need despite the rude judges. Bring something to eat, something to drink and a sweater. It's a long day of waiting. Make sure your phone is fully charged so you have something to do.

Its holding before arraignment..obviously they aren't going to put you up in a hotel. Queens central booking is seriously a country club compared to Nassau County(Mineola). They have a phone you can use free of charge as many times as you want while you are waiting to go see the judge..Nassau County you have to either beg the police to let you make a call on their phone BEFORE you leave the precinct OR you have to wait until you get to the jail to use the phone. As far as Accomodations go they have a large holding cell that everyone goes in and for females they have blankets and mattresses to lay on(who knows how often they are cleaned but you're going to want to scrub yourself down regardless after you get out of there to wash the bullpen smell off of you anyway). The officers are actually very nice for the most part. As far as food goes they actually give you a choice..peanut butter or cheese sandwiches. I declined both because I wasn't hungry but let me assure you cheese is a delicacy compared to the Nassau County bullpen bologna sandwiches(and I use the word bologna in the loosest sense of the word..mystery meat is more accurate). I was arrested about 8pm and was processed into central booking around 1am and i saw the judge right after lunch around 3-3:30pm the day after I was pinched so they were pretty good getting me arraigned before the 24 hour mark(for those who aren't savy about the law, NY state law says you have 24 hours from the time you are arrested to be brought up for arraignment). Luckily it wasn't that crowded which obviously can impact the time when you see the judge. Luckily for me my case was small potatoes and I was able to get everything resolved that day in the courtroom(talk to your attorney..misdemeanor cases that are straightforward most likely can be resolved in a timely manner..I'm not an attorney at all obviously if you have a prior record, open case things may not be straightforward but ask your attorney). I was able to put my central booking detour behind me that day without having to return thankfully. All in all as far as holding pens go...if getting arrested is in your night make sure its in Queens. It is a country club compared to the cramped cells you have to sleep in up right with someone else in Mineola, Nassau County!
