There's so much for kids to enjoy, including a carousel, a huge ball pit, slides, a trampoline, and even an outdoor playground. My daughter's birthday party was amazing! Glory and Kyle did a fantastic job from start to finish. We had about 55 guests and booked a private party, and everything ran SO smoothly. They were so easy to work with! I wanted to bring some of my own food and also have Anna/Elsa attend and they were extremely accommodating about it all. Many playspaces are not accommodating at ALL when it comes to birthday parties and Happy Space seems so geniune in wanting whatever kind of vision you have to come to life. If you're considering booking your child's birthday here, I highly recommend it--you won't regret it. My daughter had an incredible time, her friends loved it, and even the adults had just as much fun. PS- parking is not bad at all. No food or drinks are allowed in the play area, but you can eat just right outside the play area. They have party packages, and do arts and crafts nights. This school is definitely not worth your money. Now as a finally caught-up student, reflecting on this school brings tears, trauma, and anger. Just remember this review before putting this school on your list. All that glitters is not gold.

They were excited to attend each day and couldn't wait to share details about their projects. They had tons of hands-on experience both in front of and behind the camera. It was wonderful to see them take on a range of responsibilities and exercise so much autonomy in creating their projects, while receiving technical and thematic guidance from the instructors to support their vision. They were incredibly proud of their final work, and our family loved viewing it (the films were hilarious and a little unhinged :)). In fact, they both came home asking to get the software programs they used so they can continue making films at home. During the week, their groups traveled to public parks, subways, beaches, and other open spaces to film their projects, which was a highlight for my kids. My 11-year-old rated the camp 4.9 out of 5 stars. Her only complaint was that she wished parents could receive the final project links a few days sooner, because it was "unbearable to wait until the next week."

Now let's get into all the bad and deception - We were told by so many people before paying the fee that they were due to open "soon" aka in early spring. Fine with us so we paid. We were then told they're missing paperwork from the city for their opening but we can still expect a later spring opening date. Ok, fine again. We are now a few days shy of July and they have NO updates as to when they're going to open. They also never once updated us on the delay on their own. I always had to reach out myself. The good thing is we got our money back after months of lies. But what is money when compared to the urgency of enrolling one's child into a care center? There waitlists everywhere and I trusted them to enroll my daughter by spring. After months of endless waiting, we are back to square 1 with NO daycare option for our baby because now the waitlists are even longer for other places. If we would've known better, we would've just signed our daughter up for another daycare center months ago and join their actual waitlists with the expectation that yes, were on a waitlist and we now need to find our baby temporary care before enrollment. Another issue - SAFETY. Now, I can't guarantee this is going to be the case once they actually open, but I saw RECALLED FISHERPRICE ROCKERS that were the products of infant deaths in their center and recorded them too when I did my tour. I told their staff but not sure if they did anything with it. That should've honestly been my first red flag, but I was trusting them to listen to my concern and rid the facility of the rockers and I was suckered in by their no waitlist BS. Let's hope those rockers were actually thrown out.

All his teachers are wonderful to him and my son has made many friends which has helped with his social skills as well. Overall this center is wonderful and more importantly, it has been a great and positive experience for my son. We thank you for taking good care of our son. In regards to the application process, spots are not guaranteed since Baby Steps offer the courtesy to wait for the attending students to confirm when they are officially leaving. I have at some point told baby steps about leaving (moved to LI) and then changed my mind which Julia was nice to let me stay though she had applicants patiently waiting. Please be understanding of the process because keep in mind the same courtesy will be extended to you and when it does, you will be appreciative. I was fortunate enough to have my son attend as soon as he was two because the business just had opened not too long before but I can now imagine it would be more difficult since baby steps has built up a strong reputation. I wish the future parents luck and if lucky enough to get your child in the school, I guarantee, you and your child will be very happy.

His teacher, Mrs. Nini, keeps the children engaged for the entire class every week! She gets to know each and every student and brings out their creativity. You can see that she loves her students and her job by her infectious smile and enthusiasm. This is our 2nd semester of classes and we will continue to join. I love that the music changes every semester so he continues to grow and learn. It also contains music in other languages, which is amazing! I do have to say that the music this semester is more upbeat and lively.
