Guests were lined up in the hallway to have their pictures taken with the green-screen photo booth Live Prints had set up in one of the rooms. Not only did we have on-line access for sharing pictures on social media, everyone who either had a picture taken, or was in a picture, walked out with a photo in hand! Guests went back time and again to take advantage of enjoying pictures of themselves on multiple beautiful backgrounds! Anitha was particularly helpful throughout the entire planning stages, even though we dumped a lot of last-minute requests on her. Both she and Shiner are pleasant, professional and accommodating in every step of the process - simply wonderful people to work with! As novel and fun as the photo booth was for our party, I can only imagine how great it would be for other functions like a wedding, anniversary party or corporate event. My husband is Indian, so his parents/some of his groomsmen had some difficult to pronounce names, and Marco was great about making sure he was pronouncing them correctly! We went over it in our zoom call prior to the wedding, but on the day of he confirmed with the groomsmen themselves that he was saying it correctly before he announced them entering the reception. Marco was great at reading the crowd, and his assistant was definitely keeping the guests' energy up! So many of my guests commented on how great my DJ was, and some even expressed interest in hiring Marco and his assistant for their own personal events! And nobody could understand as his speakers were absolutely horrible. And he was told but it was never fixed. He messed up three times on starting the wedding song for the bride and groom. That was horrible. The bride and groom really want everything to go perfectly so messing up on the wedding song was not acceptable. If this was my wedding I would have felt horrible. Of course we all had a great time so I'm not going to say that he ruined it but it could have gone way smoother than it did. We hired Kristina to do our engagement session and wedding photography. We were truly stunned with her talent. She is extremely laid back and makes her clients 100% comfortable with the cameras (in our case, Jon had a few glasses of wine before our engagement shoot to loosen up!). She is amazing at catching the "real" moments of your special day - she studied ecology and got her Masters in behavior which explains her amazing 6th sense of anticipating these magic moments. She listens to you as a couple to figure out what makes you tick before doing any shoots. She is able to realize what elements will truly reflect you two as a couple. She will do posed shots if requested, but the beauty of these shots are the little moments that you didn't even realize were happening. Wiping a tear, laughing uncontrollably during the best man speech, grandparents holding hands, little girls looking at the bride in awe, detail shots of everything from the floral to the table set up to the name cards to the appetizers to the event space. She and her team are constantly watching and waiting from different angles and lenses and locations to catch the true moments and true spirit of your day. Its those little moments in between the planned parts of the day that really make these photos come to life and set her talent above and beyond any we have seen before. The one thing you will have forever from your wedding day are these pictures, so don't skimp on the talent. Its worth it. We had two photographers for 10 hours. She took 2,000 photos and then edits all of them. You have the choice (which we did) to purchase the digital negatives. This way we are able to put them on both of our parents computers and let them print the ones they want. We also are finalizing our leather art book which Kristina is a master at designing. The perfect commemoration of our perfect wedding day! Not only is Kristina a joy to be around and ridiculously talented - she has fantastic ideas of where to shoot to capture the best of the best in our city. We shot our engagement pictures near North Ave Beach and in front of the Wrigley Building. On our wedding day she started in the suite with myself and my bridesmaids getting ready while Aaron took photos of the groomsmen. Then the first time Jon and I saw each other, both photographers were there to get my reaction and Jon's at the same time in Olive Park with luscious greenery and nature surrounding. A quick walk with the entire bridal party to overlooking Oak Street Beach with the city and the lake in the background. Our final offsite location was on Franklin Street Bridge to give us that urban city feel. We feel like we got the best Chicago has to offer because of Kristina's expertise and advice. Kristina is also extremely environmentally conscious and uses recycled paper for stationary and paperless proofs. I really can't say enough praises about her. Photography was our number one priority when choosing vendors, and it was worth every single penny. She captured our wedding in a way I've never seen done so beautifully.
