They have a buffet but also on order food- which ever you choose it's amazing. You can get typical Danish food but also safe it with international dishes. We ate here two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much! There's an area for families which is always nice for them and for the people without kids ;-) Restrooms at the same floor as well. Yes, one more thing. The burger is MEAN!

I went to the 5th floor where there was a cafe selling sandwiches in a case that looked like works of art. I ordered a sandwich with lox and egg salad and asparagus, and it was tremendous. The best thing I ate during my weeklong trip. I went to another stall on the same floor and got an apple cake with custard, hoping for another ethereal experience. It wasn't ethereal, but it was quite good. I wish I could go back to Copenhagen just to visit again.
Best sandwich I've eaten in a long time.

We visited this restaurant when we were looking for reasonably priced restaurants in Copenhagen!…read more What a find. There were three different main dishes to choose from and several salads. The first time you could choose a main dish and three salads if you were still hungry after eating you could go back for more, either the same choices or different ones. Lots of vegetarian options! Tasty food. And they gave free water, which every place in Copenhagen does not do. A healthy not-so-expensive option in a pricey city. When we were there, it was mainly locals, which tells me it IS good.

The buffet comes with one main and then head to the main dining room. Plenty of communal tables for big parties or for couples or solo eaters to get to know each other. All the food is fresh! The offerings change daily but on the day we were there, all the food was high quality and so fulfilling. After finishing, you place your dirty dishes in a designated area so they can easily collect and clean everything.
Fine duge.
FOOD: 4 SERVICE: 3…read moreAMBIANCE: 4 VALUE: 4 There are so many coffee shops in Copenhagen it's hard to say which is best. I can tell you that this place is really unique, more like a coffee shop inside a library. This place was buzzing when we came first lunch. You have to find a seat, then go downstairs to the counter to order. Once you've ordered, you get your drinks on a tray with a number. You tell the counter person where about you are seated and they will come find you with your food. Since this was supposed to be a light lunch, we just ordered a chicken sandwich and a tomato soup. The chicken sandwich was a piece of marinated chicken breast, lightly grilled, served on a bed of lettuce with slices of tomato in a crunchy roll, with a side of roasted potatoes. As good as any grilled chicken sandwich can get. The tomato soup can best described as " tomato-y", soupy consistency and just right for a cold Copenhagen winter day. This place is popular, it can get loud inside and you may have to wait a bit for seats, but come and hang out.
Coffee. Pastries. Books. With several rooms to choose from. Not a high pressure spot. Lovely vibe.read more

They have a strange concept where you get a card and then you order your food at each station and they put the order on the card. Then at the end of the meal, you go to the cashier and pay. Mom had a nice pepperoni pizza. Good size, thin crust, spicy meat. She liked it. I went with the mushroom risotto. This was very tasty but took forever to get. At the pasta station, they make the food while you wait. There were a few people in front of me in line. Then when I finally got to the front, the cook was working on several other dishes and seemed to be distracted. I also said I wanted shrimp and he cooked chicken instead. I think he was trying to be a master chef and that is not what is needed here. You need someone fast who is going to get through the line quickly. Once I did get my food, I really enjoyed it. If you come in off the street, you may think the restaurant is empty but everyone was upstairs where the food stations and bar are and where the entrance into Tivoli was. If you were not going into Tivoli, you did have to pay on the bottom floor. Interesting concept that is a bit flawed but the food was good.

We found a sit and we just talked. The fact that we were the only non-Danes, combined with the Danish mentality ("we don't talk to strangers first if we're not wasted") gave me the feeling I was at a cafeteria in the afternoon. What really put me off, was that in the toilet there was only a towel to dry our hands. It wouldn't be a big deal if the guy before me had washed his hands with some soap before touching the towel... and I guess he's not the only one doing that! At least the beer was cold and cheap(er than most bars)!
