The supermarche was very messy and stuff was out of place everywhere. They didn't check tickets which might be normal for this station, but not sure. Also on our journey the train hit a tree branch which even further delayed our trip. We left about :20 mins late.

Not only a beautiful building but it is well kept, clean, secure (typically see 3 armed police…read morestrolling around) and many services for the locals and travelers. A very well stocked store open from early until 9:30pm with everything your heart could desire - including (very) fresh produce, wine (of course) and everything else - also a GREAT coffee shop and patisserie. And oh yes - the trains - plentiful and reliable. Paris is 1 hour 45 minutes away and (on Saturday) 2 trains an hour (more during the week I think). In first class a comfortable way to travel - and regardless of class, a green way to travel.

Both seating areas have several power outlets, which is convenient. To use the WC, you need to pay €0.30. It's free to use the one on the train. If you want real food that is grab and go, the nearest is a boulangerie with sandwiches, baguettes, etc. Walk away from the station, walk to the left one block, then turn right and walk one block. Before you reach the end, you'll see the blue canopy shop. This is the train station stop for Monet's Giverny home and garden. So it has a regular rush of train riders including the locals. Too bad there isn't more at the station itself while you wait for the train. No comment on the staff as I already bought my ticket in Paris so no interactions.
