How cool is this shop?!?…read more While it does have that pound shop smell to it, it is full of the most amazing stuff. From gardening tools to cosmetic wipes, it has everything you might need. Gift bags, party plates, decorations and more to make a great party. Everrything you need to make a great garden. Pet treats and those cool mugs you freeze to chill drinks in. This place has smiling staff and snacks and the coolest stuff that you never knew you needed.

There's no parking, but it's right next to the bus station, so easy to get to. There are a couple of fast food stands for lunch, which doesn't seem to go with the general atmosphere of the place. As for the market itself, there's a fascinating variety of stands. I'm not very knowledgeable about antiques, but there's something really exciting about browsing mysterious objects from the past few centuries. Some stalls are more specialist, with records, stamps, coins, metal, furniture and collectable items; others are more of a mish-mash bric-a-brac, and these are actually my favourite as you never know what you'll find. If you want something in particular, it's definitely worth asking, as the stallholders are experts in their field. Otherwise, it's great fun to browse. Some things sell for hundreds, others can be bought with a child's pocket money. There's a decent second-hand book stall as well.

There are three floors (as per usual) which are jam packed full of things to peruse and buy! The womenswear floor is large with a wide range of items for women of any taste. They have a Coast branch inside and a big collection of fancy dresses to suit. The homeware floor is big as well with quite a decent range of kitchen utensils which is nice because a lot of stores skimp on things like this. All in all the store is nice and bright, it can get a bit congested on the escalators and in the lobby though so be careful.

Not impressed…read more I've been to a few other Laura Ashley stores in my time and have generally been pretty pleased - and ended up walking out with something. This time, though, the Henley branch totally failed to impress. Yes, it's all very pretty. Yes, it's all very twee - but it all seems to be trying to be a bit too contemporary for it's own good. The store itself is laid out in quite an odd way, and I nearly caused a lot of damage trying to get seven year-old and scooter in, around and out of the shop. Could try harder!

I bought the clock it's really different, a huge vintage clock, with loads of character, at a pretty reasonable price. They wrapped it brilliantly to protect in on its way home. I also bought a fab storage tin which they gift-wrapped beautifully free of charge. They had lots of really lovely so I'm driving an hour to go back there again tomorrow to look for Christmas pressies. I definitely recommend it it's a new favourite and I know I'll be going back there again and again!

Located at the bottom end of the main street in Wendover this is one of those great little shops…read morefull of ornaments for the home, little knick-knacks and gifts for everyone. They do have some wonderful window displays and they also seem to have a high stock turnover so it is worthwhile going in every so often just to see what new stock they have. It is also a good place to go if you are after some unusual cards for a birthday etc because they have some very unique ranges of cards, both funny and serious, that you wouldn't find in any other card shops.
