Don't expect a salesman to come spend time going over options. Companies that have that usually want to over charge for the same quality service and work these guys provide. Only 2 days for a complete tear off and replace. The crew was fast friendly and hard working. I could not be more happy with the great quality of work and at a fair price with no fuss or BS. One company tried to explain how they do so much more then other companies which why they cost more. That was complete BS, SVR provided the same quality work at half the cost. If you need hand holding and a fancy sales pitch this is not the company for you. This is a lesson on how to, and how not to run a service business. A couple years ago we called SVR with a roof leak. They came out and discovered a cracked vent and fixed it. We then decided to use them when we Rep leaves the roof and put in solar panels. Called them again with similar problem in a house 2 blocks away with same age roof. A guy came out and said he would get in the attic, and looked then left without a word. I called and he said wouldn't get on the roof. I asked why and he said "liability reasons". I explained that they had done the same thing a year earlier. He said "that was then" and to let him know when I wanted a new roof. I came here and gave them one star. Meanwhile I went up and looked and sure enough it was another cracked vent. I got a call almost immediately from the owner and explained what happened. He apologized profusely and offered to come out that day personally. He did that, and replaced that vent and another that was also cracked. He explained that the employee was new, that the behavior was not acceptable, that he would explain how they do business, and he would be reprimanded. If the behavior continued he would be let go. What a difference an attitude makes. The owner knows how run a service business. His intervention made the difference between having a lifelong customer and not, as well as the difference between a poor review and a good one. When I replace this roof. We recently just purchased a new home. We've only been here for about 4mo. We noticed only a couple times that when it rains (hard) we were getting a small puddle of water in our microwave. Well, last night it rained pretty hard and it was just pouring in. After calling a few places I found Snohomish Valley Roofing. Man am I happy I found David! Not only did he fix the issue (ended up that our vents were on backwards) he also cleaned out my gutters, took care of moss, did some calking where needed, and blew everything off my roof! Called 2 days in a row. Lady that answered took my message and said somebody will call me back. Nobody did. Called again and left a message early AM; no call back. Finally another lady or same lady answered later in the day and said: " no problem, I got your message. Don will call you back."! Third day today and nobody called. Even if you are busy there is common courtesy to call a client back and just let him/ her know that.. Went with a different company that return my phone call in 2 hr. read more

I've been a general contractor for ten years and I've been renting dumpsters and reffering work to SVR for approximately five years. I'm talking over 100 different interactions every year. I've yet to have one unhappy customer and there dumpsters have always been picked up and dropped off on time. I wouldn't let one persons unpleasant experience effect the judgment of this company. They are human and they make mistakes just like EVERYONE. We were getting ready to sell our house and noticed that a small part of roofing was lifting and water was getting on the plywood underneath. We called Snohomish Valley Roofing and spoke with a man named Dave and explained the situation. He was so professional and explained that it was something he would be happy to come out and look at and showed up that same day. He got up on the roof, went in the attic and when finished explained what needed to be done in such a way that I even understood. He came back a week later while we were at work, did the replacement AND even put on some rain runoff contraptions so that the roof pitches were more protected from rain ~ the kicker, didn't charge me for those 4 he put on because he couldn't get ahold of me but knew they were important to install. I will ALWAYS use SVR if we ever need anything done on our current roof and in 5 years when we do a big remodel, we are using them to roof the addition!!! I can't say enough about the excellent customer service Snohomish Valley Roofing has provided me and the many people I have referred to them. Personally, I have used them multiple times for both a new roof and dumpster rentals. Each time was a great experience. I called on a Friday to get a quote on a new roof. The owner of the company came by our house on Sunday (he was on his way home from a family function) to measure and offer us a quote. His team arrived on time as expected, completed the job in the rain and exceeded our expectations. Each time I have called for a dumpster rental, the staff has been friendly, accommodating and goes out of their way to make sure my needs are met.
